RSL has won one game on the road this year. San Jose hasn't won in their last 11 games, most recently a 1-0 loss at home against Seattle on Wednesday. So this should be fun, as always. Ordinarily, I'd say we've got a good shot at this one, but it's the day before the game and I'm the one starting the thread, so we're screwed. Sorry. MLS Soccer's projected starters: Nick Rimando — Brooks Lennon, Justen Glad, Nick Besler, Aaron Herrera — Damir Kreilach, Kyle Beckerman — Jefferson Savarino, Albert Rusnak, Sebastian Saucedo — Corey Baird And they've got this for the Quakes: Andrew Tarbell — Nick Lima, Jimmy Ockford, Harold Cummings, Shea Salinas — Vako, Florian Jungwirth, Anibal Godoy, Jahmir Hyka — Danny Hoesen, Chris Wondolowski Referee: Marcos DeOliveira Assistant Referees: Eduard Mariscal, Mike Rottersman 4th Official: Alejandro Mariscal VAR: Victor Rivas

Kreilachermam hopefully no longer with us, but hope seldom yields for RSL. Hoping also for a good game for Baird. If there is anything I would say to the players, its this: "Fellas, make runs for each other. run into space. Its not going to work all the time, but do it anyway. Remember when soccer was fun? Try to make it fun for your teammates."
If Petke really has his heart set on getting Beckerman and Kreilach on the field at the same time, I'd be interested to see our lineup with Sunny and Beckerman in midfield, Kreilach as the 10, and Rusnak as a false nine.
I expect RSL to come out strong, play well until a call goes against them, they have a conniption fit and lose their minds, give up a couple cheap goals, they then regain a little composure and nab a consolation goal to make everyone feel good. 9-1 San Jose or something.
Somebody is going to get beaten like a rented mule, this is a case of the immovable object vs the immovable object. I hope you guys beat us to a pulp so our "coach" will get fired. Good luck.
I woild prefsr to get beaten like a cheap drum that you give your crazy sibilng's kid for Christmas, but whatever floats your boat.
Should we be concerned that Acosta is back on the bench, two games in a row? I get giving Aaron Herrera a start, but we were playing well with Acosta on the left, and he's dropped again.
Well, damn. Rusnak made it about four minutes. Looks like a pulled muscle in his neck? Or something like that.
The Rusnak injury is strange. I replayed the game from the beginning and it looked like Vako caught him in the neck at the 15 second mark. He began holding his neck shortly after and went down at the 2:00 minute mark. It was hard to tell what happened.
Obviously I do not know the reason. In tonight’s game I’ve noticed that when SJ transitions Herrera is in position to slow them down. Our opponents have recently taken advantage of the spot vacated by Acosta because he plays so far forward. They just bomb it over the top to that back left area. Herrera isn’t doing that.
Question: is M. Silva a dumb ass? His foul was blatant , yet he argues and gets a yellow card. He’s coming off of a yellow card suspension.
Glad could have seen red for that stomp on Godoy. Yellow is probably fine, but it wouldn't have been surprising for red to come out.
We look like an entitled bunch of whiners tonight when we don't get calls, or have calls go against us - even though they've been largely correct. Outplayed in half one.
Glad got embarrassed again. That’s why he will not be on the USMNT, unless he really improves in marking guys on runs.
