Zlatan just overpowers Glad on that. It’s why I consider Glad to be a lower CB on this league. He doesn’t have the physicality to be upper half.
James and Dunny were talking about how great it would be if we ended up tied 0-0 at the half, and how that would really put the pressure on the Galaxy. Right.
It really hasn’t been bad except for the obvious red card that wasn’t given...and I blame The Don for that.
The direction this game was going was set when Rusnak put that early, open chance not in the goal, but out for a throwin.
This team randomly just collapsed after the missed red card. Rimando with an error, then the second goal would have been pretty easy for Rimando 2 years ago. Screw this game.
Pulling a defender gives more numbers up front but not all three on the back stay so I think we are actually losing out by not having wingers that can get into the attack. Unless Lennon was totally gassed I would say that change has hurt more than helped our offense.
Glad and Rimando beaten badly there by Kamara. This is about what I expected. Without a red card or PK we never had a chance given our defensive weaknesses and LAG’s quality up front. Kudo’s to the officials, including the VAR, for following The Don’s directive to assist in getting the LAG ship righted.
What would really put pressure on LA would be a goal or two. RSL just lacks a true goal scorer up top. We keep asking players from different positions (Silva, Baird) to step in and they are able to squeeze out a goal here and there but it's just not good enough.
He can go off for all I care. Tonight was RSL on the road against a team with teeth as opposed to Seattle. Yes the previous 3 games felt good. But, the reality is that we are are a bottom half of the West team.
Yeah I don't get this "don't lose" mentality. If you can't score then that strategy falls apart as soon as we concede.
