He’s also a walking red card. At one point I was just shaking my head at the fact that KB, Kreilach AND Sunny were on the field at the same time and we were winning the game.
That was a fairly ugly game on both sides. RSL managed to cut down a bit on the ugly turnovers that most players were doing (particularly Sunny and KB). Good to see at least one player could put it dangerously on frame. P.S. Does Rimando actually know how to get the long balls to an RSL player or has he lost that skill now...?
He can’t do it like he used to. Basically his long distributions are 50/50 jump balls. He also made some blunders in short distributions yesterday. He sent one to KB at the top of our box, but KB was marked closely by Deuce. That was the play where KB had to take Deuce down hard to prevent a shot. Nick made a couple of other short distributions that were not very smart.
On the verge... he did deliver catastrophic turnover. Fortunately for RSL, Seattle couldn't convert them.
How the hell Seattle doesn't score is beyond me. Awesome that Bofo got his goal and we got the win, but if we think that was a recipe for future success we're in for multi goal losses. That said, I preferred Sunny and Acosta out there. THey both had off moments, but it was a net improvement. Also: ******** Ortuno. Asshole was posting a picture of himself at the pool just an hour before this one kicked off. Just wow. I thought we prided ourselves on doing character interviews and making sure the guys weren't like this.
Not to rub salt in everyone's wounds, but the DesNews player ratings for the game are out and from what I read, it looks like RSL had a great game. https://www.deseretnews.com/article...vided-the-offense-while-Rimando-had-help.html
So happy about this win, even though it wasnt pretty and we still have issues, that I wore my Jersey two days in a row.
If all the starters get 6-8 ratings on a day RSL gets out shot - I’m curious what a great performance gets - or an average one. It was a nice win - Nick was vintage and RSL did enough. The Defense is a little better, possession in the 2nd half was better, but a better opponent would have abused RSL on that many breakdowns - I think that’s what the glass half empty observations are about.
I’ll take the win and points but beating a team missing $6 mil in players is faint praise at best. Imagine how much better RSL would be playing if $3 mil + in salary wasn’t in another country or sitting by pool? Oh, never mind.
Imagine how much better we could be playing if we sat KB for once and let Sunny roam around the back.
I think you meant to post in the thread for the next game. If not, you're right, I also think we get 3 points in this one!
Blackhawks fan here, so I have no horse in this race. That being said, I'm hoping Vegas pulls it off. Although I won't be upset to see the Caps win. And really, if we can get 7 games as intense as game one, I'll be happy.
it's such bullshit. What is this fanbase supposed to pine for after this year? It's a joke. I'm a fan of teams that tear my heart out like it's a habit. This isn't fair god damn it
