Sometimes I think we all forget how hard being a professional athlete is on the body. Some bodies / body-types cannot handle the physical stress. I wish Jordan the best of luck in any future endeavor. Hopefully he has been getting a degree during all of his recuperations.
Fixed that for ya. I like to pretend those movies don't exist. I grew up in a neighborhood where all the streets were named from the books (there's a poster here who can back me up on this). Ironically there was a street called Mirkwood, and it was the shadiest street in the subdivision.
Way back in the day, the Los Angeles Dodgers had a couple of fringe roster players - veterans who really helped with chemistry and clubhouse but who didn't contribute directly enough on-field to take a roster spot. People following the team in Spring Training jokingly waited for news of an injury to get them on reserve, with the team but not on the roster. I wish for Allen's sake this was the case with him.
Yep. I lived on Bree Street. Was gonna put a sign above my garage that said "The Prancing Pony", but then we decided to move and I never got around to it. Incidentally I think I helped a very young @KendaReal with a report on Argentina in elementary school.
For asking Waibel questions - I am with most of you - would like to know more about the Acosta loan and our depth plans at outside back.
