Apropos of not much, I have a strong antipathy to the default blue avatar for those of you without. I am prepared to offer my services and add something in there for you.

Since you are SUPERMOD, you should just default all RSL fans to some form of farting unicorn until they make something else happen.

EDIT: Your personal admonition worked for me.

Why would we be looking at wingers? To me, that's the one spot where I feel the most comfortable. The kids have looked good. As far as 10s go, that position is more or less dying off in the modern game. If we were looking for a Javi style 10, I'd say it's the wrong move. I would be happy with another midfield signing, plus getting better outside backs. I'd want a top CB as well, but they seem dead set on thinking we're fine there.

Change yours back to how it was, and I'll change mine. ;)

I was going to have the new one for a day, but then the USNT won 6-0 and now I have to keep it through tomorrow night, just in case me changing it had something to do with the result.

So how good does the Panama result need to be for the jackalope to stay? A win? By multiple goals? Or is a point on the road enough? (Obviously, a loss to Panama means he's fired as an avatar.)

I vote for a win as a reasonable expectation.

We've won plenty of games before, just not like we did the other night. I remember the 4-0 win over Mexico in 1995 as comprehensive like that one was, but those are precious gems. That's what it would take to retain the jackalope.

Here's looking at another 6-0 beat down by the USMNT then.

Ugly match coming, but I think we get three points.

If we don't get three points, then Cassar should definitely be fired.

One fewer forward on the active roster for the year. Time to drop looking at wingers and shift to forwards.

Dear front office, this is not an "opportunity" to bring back either Sandoval or Garcia.

Dang. Never like to see a player injured or have to undergo surgery. What was the nature of the injury?

Having said this, this should mean Lennon will get more minutes. That's a positive.

Seriously, wtf are we feeding/giving/doing to the players on this team?

Can't wait to hear how CW signed another winger to address this problem.

RSL may have partially dodged a bullet - Atlanta's Josef Martinez (current Golden Boot leader) is out for 4-6 weeks after getting injured on national team duty. We'll see what this does to Atlanta's offense

Sebastian Lletget is out for 4-6 months after his injury in the USNT game last Friday.

Sh*t!! Who is going to be my underdog to root for now?

There goes my 4-4-2 with Yura and Barrett up top.

Maybe we could get Sandoval back on a most-of-the-season loan from the Deltas.

Nah, we've already got Silva to cover the slow-as-molasses-and-doesn't-win-any-headers position.

I didn't think Lennon played CF. Although it does put us in a weird spot for the times we need to sub Yura. We're going to be playing someone out of position in hopes that it works out.

How did we manage to downgrade the trainer? I thought things were bad in prior seasons, but so far this season has felt like the worst we've ever had when it comes to injuries.

We'd better not take back Sandoval. I'd rather just leave the spot open.

That's a skill that shouldn't be limited to a single player.

I think the 4-3-3 experiment is dead. DLH said in his first interview that he wants a unified system, and my bet is he pushes to go back to a 4-4-2. Plata & Yura up top with Brooks off the bench for one of the other. But I could be wrong.
