The last game I was excited about was the game against the Galaxy in September. It was a tie, but we tied the game up in the final minutes and it felt like a success. The excitement only lasted until the parking lot where I found my window busted out, but it was an exciting finish to the game.
You'd think they could do better than a mid table EPL team... Ok, got that joke out of the way. I'm stoked about this. Well done

Well damn. Guess I may have to go back on my vow to not set foot in RioT before Cassar is gone. Of course, he may be gone by then.
I wonder if it's part of that big tournament held every year in the USA. Dear Leader showing off the training complex?
Hey, didn't a certain sometimes poster on the RSL boards who also is a big fan of Vasco da Gama say that no big-name European clubs like Real Madrid, Barca or ManU would ever come to Utah to play soccer?
From a United standpoint, they shouldn't be missing much of anyone. The only tournaments this summer are the Confederations Cup and the off cycle Gold Cup. So, this could be really fun. Largely depends on where in the trip the SLC part falls on what players we'll see.
From the Daily Mail. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ter-United-keen-add-Real-Madrid-USA-tour.html Looks like it's going to happen in July (duh) and probably before the 23rd of July. A cursory look at RSLs schedule show an away game at LA on the 4th and another away game at Portland on the 19th so any ManU match will probably be sometime during that window, whether against RSL or someone else.
I'll be in Oregon for a week from July 8 - 15. It would be very fitting for them to come to SLC during that time frame. Also interesting from that article - it hasn't been decided if they'll play MLS teams. So, we could see another big Euro squad. It'll be Milan and it'll be on July 12th and I'll die Opponents are supposed to be announced tomorrow.
Hello everyone. I am extremely excited for ManU to play at the RioT! I will be there. Could be one of few highlights to this seemingly doomed season.
This is my second hope behind United v Milan. That is for personal reasons If we somehow landed Madrid and United it would be ridiculous.
I would think that since SLC is kind of a smaller market, ManU would be playing RSL instead of Barca or RM. But...........I could be wrong.
I am not actually in a celebrating mood. It is a good thing Cassar is gone. But I typically do not cheer when someone is fired, no matter how necessary the firing is. Lets move forward.
Agreed. He's a human being with family and a genuine love of his life in soccer. To be fired sucks. And, I maintain my view: RSL's problems are much deeper than coaching. This is an old and slow team. We could see how much more energetic they were against LA, more threatening and controlling of the game. Still, old and slow will tend to lose a lot, even with the best coach in the world.
If this is all about showing off the training facility then having both Giants in town makes sense. I wonder if Garber's visit was in connection with this.
Nothing like two bits of good news to start my day. Cassar is gone and Manchester United will be playing here. I'm a bit nervous about the potential date, since I'll be gone on vacation sometime around July 11-16th. Probably means the game will be on the 12th.
