Got it! We are down a goal, need a goal, and Petke does not go to the guy who has proven himself as a goal scorer in every league he has ever played in. Don't misunderstand me I get that Yura has had a bad year. But with 20 minutes left in your season you go with Bofo? That Up is just plain stupid.
Which is why we didn't play Yura. He's scored 2 goals from July on. You know, that time you should really be in your stride. For such a 'proven scorer' he's done nothing in the second half of the year. Please enlighten us on how Yura would've saved the day. Whenever he's been put on, he's been bad. Somehow he's slower than the people that have been in game for 70+ minutes. Loves to wander out of position, so that when we do try and cross, he's not there. Also slow to even get into the attack, so once again nobody to cross to. When he wonders offside, he takes his sweet time getting back, which has ruined any sort of quick counter when we steal the ball and see that we cant even release him. So please, explain what he's been doing that has been right? I'm talking from July onward. It hasn't been scoring goals. It's not assists. He does manage to get a few good looks, and Mr. 'only needs one chance' proceeds to blow said chance. How is that the entire organization and casual fan can seem to notice how bad he's been, but you're still the one clinging to him being the savior of the season? He's done nothing in several months to think anything will change.
Not 15's not 15 #1 Lennon should've been pulled at half time #1.5 I don't understand why you'd keep sending slow floating balls into a packed 18 when the first 20 times you tried it failed
I feel like that's the go to for a lot of teams. For whatever reason as time winds down, everyone gets dumb with their tactics. Hey let's do that thing that has a very low chance of scoring! And lets do it for 15 mins straight!
50 crosses. No #9. One or two crosses were dangerous because they were on the ground. Really, really missed Sava.
I gotta admit, I'm with @georg on this one. Sure, Yura's been bad since July. Abysmally bad, considering his DP salary. But are you really going to argue that Yura is worse than Horst as a forward? I don't buy it. Even an out-of-shape and disinterested Yura creates more opportunities than Horst, I think.
I was back east and had no opportunity to watch this one. Per the stats we dominated the game, which is counter-intuitive (except the no goals part) given no Savarino. What happened? I saw in earlier posts that Timmy had something to with it. Were we just shooting inaccurately as usual?
I did not watch the game but, given what I've seen from highlights and read, yeah Horst was the better option. Why? Because the cRapids were sitting in and RSL had resorted to whipping in crosses. Yura is shit in the air. I still have no idea how he scored that first goal of the season against LA, but he is shit in the air. Horst is better. Also, what in the last few performances from Yura has made you think he would do anything? The guy shouldn't be in the 18, IMO. ******** it, not subbing him in isn't an excuse
Except that assist to beckeman to tie our last game with LA. Didnt watch the game because im out of state. However, Horst instead of Yura sounds interesting. Colorado already knows RSL's players and the positions they usually play. Why not change things up and try Horst up front? If Yura had played up front we'd be bitchin' about how he still doesnt score.
I too thought that Yura should have come on just to throw every offensive option we have at Colorado. However, clearly Petke thinks that whatever Yura is doing (or not doing) in training doesn't warrant a single minute on the field and and even not knowing exactly what that is I have to go with Petke.
so much this If we're down 1-0 in a game that we desperately need a point in and our manager, who has given ample chances to most anyone on this roster, decides Yura isn't the right choice - well, that's all you really need to know.

no matter what I gush over Rusnak at least once in those things. 7/10. Good effort, but needs improvement.
Not even Waibel can overlook how the single most important position to fill is a CF for Petke's system, right? This won't be reliving the ongoing CB of the prior two off-seasons, right? RIGHT?!? right?
This season yes our biggest hole atm is CF. That being said and looking at next year, does that remain true? I get that Silva isn't really up to snuff and we literally have 0 depth but with Beckerman another year older and Mullholland and Sunny being who they are I think CM might being the biggest need this off season.
There's no way CM is the biggest need. We literally don't have a forward. CM should be 2nd priority, but I don't see how you can look at having 0 forwards of worth, and saying that's less of a need than having Sunny/Mulholland in the middle.
