Skullcandy is one of my company's partners. They're incredibly chill people and would be super fun for RSL to work with. I don't see it happening, but it would be sweet.
Um, I think the message was pretty clear but I'll explain it for you simpletons. Count the number of white lines in the parking lot. There's exactly 98 lines. Ok, now, how many occupied sparking spaces? I count 10. Still with me? 98 plus 10 is 108. And what is 108 backwards? 801 of course, an area code for the state of Utah! Also the image is slightly tipped to one side. It is at a 45 degree angle. But yet, in the middle of the picture there are 3 stadium light poles. Put 3 in the middle of 45 and what do you get? 435. Another area code, IN UTAH! Finally, look at the sign in the picture, it says "Zion's Bank". Zion's is also the name of a national park. Any guesses as to where that national park is? That's right, IN UTAH once again! Nicky saying in Utah confirmed.
If I got at least 1 person to actually try and count the lines then I will call this day a productive one.
Seriously though, Hasbro would be an interesting sponsor, with a lot of different properties to market. Put their main logo on one jersey and something new each year on the other, or even more often. A Transformers or GI Joe logo for when those movies are released, for example. There's a lot of board and card game playing in Utah, so it's a natural place to push Parker Brothers, Avalon Hill, and Magic: The Gathering. And if one could buy an RSL jersey with the sponsor logo replaced by a Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, or Pinkie Pie cutie mark color-swapped to claret, cobalt, and gold... well, I'd certainly buy one. And I barely qualify as a brony.
I'm a huge fan of Tesla. I have a deposit in for a Model 3, but I don't think I'm patient enough. (I'm sick of showing up for dates in a minivan.) They would be the coolest jersey sponsor ever. Or SpaceX. Or the Boring company...
I think most people sign up just to end the relentless pressure from their friend/neighbor/family member.
Some obsessive weirdo did this 5 years ago: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/2012-2013-rsl-jersey-sponsor-thread.1978487/page-2#post-26789159
TIL Wizards of the Coast is a Hasbro brand. Don't know how I've missed that for so long (I don't think I can count how many Wizards of the Coast items I've bought since 1999.)
Man, @KendaReal really knows how to read the tea leaves. https://www.rsl.com/post/2018/01/22...ns-mls-goalkeeping-record-holder-nick-rimando
Matt Doyle's way-too-early MLS 2018 top ten teams - RSL comes in at number 6. "Truth is, sixth might be too low for RSL." The concerns he notes are very fair.
Could we just get Elon Musk himself to sponsor RSL? How awesome would it be to just have ELON across the front of our jerseys?
