Well there's a bit of good news to start the thread with: Rimando, Morales, Olave, Allen, and Saucedo will all be back for Friday's game.
I swear if we don't lay waste to SJ I'm going to be so pissed. Not because I'm taking a girl on a date to her first RSL game or anything.
I have friends coming so.. I am hoping for some goals from the run of play ,but I am not so optimistic about that
This is my first game with my new season tickets...even though I've already gone to games this season. At the beginning of last week I called about season tickets. I told them to tell me everything available on the east side. They told me that there were only 5 different places available where I could purchase two tickets together. I called a couple days later and all that was left was one spot on the east side (which wasn't one of the original places they told me about because a couple had moved) and a few places on the north side. This team is gaining crazy momentum as far as fan base is concerned. I hope they can continue it by putting a successful product on the field.
I'm hosting my twice annual writers retreat and won't be watching the game. Which is to say, this will be the breakout game that people are talking about for the rest of the season.
Go back to the 4-3-3 Show me something in the middle Win the damn game. Simple request Nicky Tony Olave Elias Phillips Luke KB Javi Allen Sabo Garcia Bench: JeffA, Mansally, Maund, Gil, Stertzer, Sandoval, Jaime/Saucedo It's time to use the same formation for once this year
Wait, last week you quit the game early and we got shellacked 4-0. Do you really want us to endure the same result this week? Make the sacrifice and watch the game. Do it for the team, the fans, and this forum's sanity.
I'll spin around three times, recite the Code of Embratsu, and write a short story about overcoming certain defeat. That should even things out.
Stertzer suspended by the DisCo for a bad foul on Agudelo last weekend. He's out this weekend and has been fined.
He was lucky that wasn't a red in the game. One of those too early in the game to call by the ref. Maybe RSL would have been better off down a man. Couldn't have been much worse.
I'm fine with this - but how the hell was his tackle worse than the one Ramos did in that Columbus game? The DisCo is throwing darts for suspensions. It's the only logical answer.
Are you really surprised? The weekend of the first San Jose game there were at least a half dozen absolutely brutal tackles across the league and I can't recall any of them getting suspended. But the DisCo (rightfully) suspended Innocent for his flying forearm to Luke's head. There is no consistency from the DisCo, none at all. They pick and choose whatever they feel like and ignore 90% of what goes on.
Not really surprised, just continually amazed. It's like they have a competition to see how confusing they can be compared to what they did last week
If everyone expected consistency, it might cause panic at the DisCo!.... I'll be here all week, try the shrimp and tip your waitresses.
I expect BIG things from RSL today. I mean....if I can hit a damn hole in one yesterday on a 170 yard par 3 they should be able to score at least one ********ing goal against the San Jose Douchequakes.
You may have sucked all the luck out of the valley with that shot. Congrats, but I'm thinking we're going down 3 - 0, and this one's on you, UP. Where were you playing yesterday, btw?
9th hole at Bonneville, only played 9 so it was the last shot of the round for me. Didn't even see it go in because trees and bushes obstructed the view of the hole from the tee box, could only see the left side of the green. In the first pic I'm standing on the very left of the tee box to get a pic of the green/hole. Those bushes/trees on the right blocked my view of the hole, lol. The guys I was playing with were like HOLY SHIT YOU JUST ACED IT! I had already turned around after I saw it hit the front of the green and roll on. I didn't even believe them when they said it.
Good work, UP - that's a tough hole. And might I say, as to the shorts and shirt, that's a hideous color combination. Truly, you fit right in with the rest of the golf world.
