http://www.mlssoccer.com/standings *sigh* Looks like we are sitting out of playoff position right now. Embratsu.
jeff cassar@jeffcassar It all starts here!! Let's make the 10th season of RSL one to remember!! #RSLfamily #BelieveRSL
This is too vague for my taste. I can easily see this as a bad scenario, "Hey, remember our 10th season where we became the first and only team to not win a game the entire season? Man that was one to remember."
I see the "Fly" Icon on the away matches to Fly Jet Blue. All except the SKC match. Oh that's right. They won't sell tickets to the match to RSL fans. http://www.realsaltlake.com/schedule
For those that don't want to embratsu right now that was a great start to the season. We won, which is fantastic, plus in order to balance things our we should get a gifted goal from the refs, or an opposing teams goal called back for no other reason than MLS likes us more, so maybe against...(I was going to say Chivas but MLS owns them now, so are we their least favorite team?). And we get a soft pk called for us in the waning moments of the match. A win and two horrible ref calls that go in our favor in the future, I'll take that.
Easy when you're already 2 up, or so you'd think. Pretty sure most people would've taken it. what a guy Same to the other player, his team could've actually used the corner.
I wonder how many people even know that you can do that? Does anyone recall seeing something like this in MLS? That was definitely an act of class, but I wonder how that would be received here.
How would WE react? If we had been down 1-0 to LA and Sabo turned away a penalty? Maybe I'm a bad person but I'm not sure how I would feel. Especially at the end of the season if we were fighting for a playoff spot/higher seed/supporters shield. Take it even a step further and think about a playoff game or a final. Hats off to both of them though.
Someone else can find the link, but we're #1 in the MLS Power Rankings this morning. Feels disconcerting to see us there. Edit: http://m.mlssoccer.com/news/article...ek-1-new-team-atop-poll-after-opening-weekend
I don't like this at all. Especially given how Vancouver and Houston beat the crap out of really good teams -- sure, at home, but go look at Vancouver's highlights. Fernandez and Morales are going to be a big deal for them. I'm more comfortable when RSL is good and ignored, than getting attention while playing just okay.
It was one game, so don't get too pumped up. I agree, Vancouver looked improved, but I remember games last season where I thought they could be the best in the league. Also key to remember: New York was resting quite a few players. Further, the pitch at BC Place is the absolute worst. I don't give that team too much credit for how they play at home. It's literally like playing on the carpet in my office.
Yeah...but if you have to make a power ranking list on the first week of the season, you kinda have to base your opinion on just one game. Unless power rankings are some sort of a complete joke; which is something I never, ever contemplated before this very second. I'm just surprised we ended up ahead of them.
Simon Borg being Simon Borg http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2014...ek-1-refereeing-talking-points-instant-replay what a ********ing piece of shit I'm sure this will offend some but the reason why people like Borg think Beltrans "foul" is worthy of a pk is because of teams like Barcelona. You watch this supposed top team in the world and you get the assumption that any contact is a foul. News flash: this is a contact sport. So, if you Barca haters (which I am one) needed anymore reason to dislike that team, I give you this. They've taken the physical aspect out of the game.
