Sacramende won the NASL championship this weekend, so they're coming off a big high. Their coach is ex-Chivas and TFC head man Preki, and Justin Braun is the main man in the attack.
Also: Dell Loy said he scheduled this to give us an idea of what we'll face next year with the Monarchs in action. So, figure reserves through and through. {yes, I gagged a little typing out that name}
I don't really care who they put on the field for this one. We will probably go as we will miss the Oct 11th game due to a cruise. We booked this one well before the MLS schedule came out or I would have made sure to work around it.

Weather looks like it should holdout for most of the game. Rain expected to come in around the end. I don't know if I'm going to make the trip or not. The friendly against Tijuana was fun but that was mostly because of the rival fans in attendance. I don't expect too many suckramento fans in the audience to make this worthwhile. It's a POAP game so if the weather does hold out, it'll be packed
Sacramento won the USLPRO championship. So the third division title. Though they are probably better in every way than all but a couple of NASL teams.
I'll be there. It seems like this season was pretty front-loaded with home games and we haven't had as many lately. So, I'll head over to the RioT for my soccer fix. I'm interested to see the Republic, as they may be a regular MLS team soon. It will also be a good gauge of how well our reserves can compete. Also, I'm referring to the USL RSL team as the Royals or Kings until such a time as the FO pays for the use of the Venture Bros. Monarch logo as the team's crest.
Anybody know if we called up kids from the academy for this one? Seems like it would be the ideal kind of game to get some of those kids up here. Regardless, I hope all 3 of our homegrown signings from this year play. In fact, it would be pretty cool to see a lineup that had all of them (that are still with the team) in it. Academy kids can't play in gaited friendlies so I seriously doubt we'll see any of the "amateur" level RSL players.
Even if the academy kids can't go, that's still half a team that could go from former academy kids. Unless Saucedo can't go because he's not officially with us until next season.
