The new forwards have plenty of errant passes too. What I'm seeing is the midfield pushing up from minute 60 on. We've looked good from 63-83.
Ceasar having a discussion with Javi has to be entertaining! Javi must be thinking are you kidding me!
This guy would like to see a goal. #PORvRSL #RCTID #Unicorn pic.twitter.com/BKEb8ERUJz— Major League Soccer (@MLS) October 18, 2014 A Timbers fan wearing a unicorn head. We might just have enough EMBRATSU power on our side to not lose this match.
Grossman had only scored one less goal than Vela and he defends so honestly I think its the better sub Edit: he still sucks at passing though
Never wear a unicorn head to a match your team is facing RSL. We are undefeated in that situation to my knowledge.
If your satisfied with a point going into the post season perhaps you are correct. Personally I would have wanted 3 points as the head coach.
Desperate team on a tiny field made of plastic that has been rained on heavily for the last 2+ hours. Take the point. Run like hell to the airport. Get the ******** out of Portland.
Bad subs. Sabo isn't game fit by any stretch. He would pretty much stand guys up and hack them after. I'm with those that wanted to see if Sebastian could spark the game too...but 20 minutes earlier. That late maybe you hold the tie. Weird game. Shocked there were no goals. We had SO MANY bad give-aways and Portland probably had three chances for every two of ours, but still, a point is not nothing. I was happy to see some decent soccer down the stretch - mixed with patches of awful give-aways and mishit headers that opened Timbers breaks.
Dude, come on, use some sense here. We were getting overrun for 20+ minutes, who do you want on the field? A give away machine with little defensive composure? Or another defensive midfielder who can help Kyle clean up the crap in the middle? It's as obvious of a sub as you can ever make. Maybe if RSL had been pushing the tempo and on the verge of getting a goal you put in Vela, but under no other scenario.
