Canada might have qualified in another group, or maybe not. IMO they're in the 'next tier'. Jamaica going through seems just. Subjectively I just think they're better than Guatemala.
I don't get why people were so amazed with the Canada performance. They've been punching way above their weight and Honduras, at Hondruas, is one of the hardest places to play in this confederation.
when you go to a place like that, with the talent they have, and try to defend for the full 90... you're just asking for trouble.
I was perusing one of the threads in MLS general today, and it looks like MLS reached the 6,000,000 attendance mark for the season (first time ever) with the RSL home game. So, at least *something* notable happened during the pointless end to the massively...season.
That is an awesome achievement! I had the 4th ticket ever buzzed into the RioT. That is all I remember in regard to my personal RSL achievements.
I think it was mine, because the security guy at the gate inexplicably told me that we needed more cowbell
The season began great. Our team started leaking goals on the back. Morales wasn't truly connecting. So our whole schema, specially at the end of the season was to over compensate on defense and try to do the best with one man in the box making a good run. And so we began winning games again, until we got complacent with it. None of the offseason additions were useful. Morales, even at his best, is now figured out. We slowed down considerably. We got results, but not because we truly dominated. It was the season of unfulfillement. We overachieved despite the team we had. We all know this coconut had leaked enough creativity, youth, and passion of its shell. By this second leg, we just hoped we could just get to penalty kicks so we could depend on Rimando, the only solid part of our team. I don't know what I am saying. I am ready for the offseason and to get past this bitter one.
