What have you bought from the Millers shop? We put up a decent second half performance against Blackburn but couldn't hold on for an away point, we should have had another penalty for handball but it wasn't given again. Evans has been going mad in the media accusing elements of the Football League of trying to get 'little Rotherham United' relegated because of all the poor decisions we've had go against us recently. I just keep thinking about the soft goals we gave to Blackpool in both legs, those 4pts would have us sitting mid table! Another goal for Matt Derbyshire at least, he seems to have really hit form at a vital time. Rotherham United 'unwelcome' in Championship - Steve Evans http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31418671
we are such an upside down mess half the time it is no fun talking about, or speculating, about the wednesday anymore. new owner, old owner it just doesn't matter.
ha! i am actually looking at your white shorts. my team wears a red Chicago Fire top with white shorts... hmmm....
Yeah you've mentioned it once or twice... hehe I think it's a bit of psychology again, future referees are more likely to give us the benefit of the doubt now that he's highlighted how many poor decisions we've had against us.
i play and coach. the team i play for are the reigning U90 champs! although it appears i won't coach this season. of my four sons only two are playing, 21 yrs old, in the adult league with me, and the 17 yr old at school. the 13 yr old didn't want to play rec or school ball. even though the middle school coaches were both begging me to have him play in goal for them.
Under 90's? wow impressive lol, what is that the name of a league or something? I didn't realise there was that much opportunity to play English football in the US, the impression I've always had is that it's considered to be a childrens sport... although that's probably from listening to too many NFL fans maybe?
yeah U90/Smyrna Adult League. we will let a 91 yr old play if they are insured. =P my team is Lube Pros. football is very popular here nowadays. http://smyrnafooty.com/
Cheers. I think we've got a good chance of getting a draw, at the current moment we are not as bad as the table suggests, our team now is completely different from the one that started the season and even the one before the New Year, it has been a continual evolution. Derby are on another level though. The table is likely to get worse for us before it gets better but we have a run of fixtures starting with Millwall later this month that will decide if we're good enough to stay up.
Yeah, disappointed not to win it in the end but still a good point. Derby weren't all that good defensively, their keeper kept them from going 4-1 down with a stunning save and at 3-3 we could have won it in injury time but had a corner cleared off the line. Their on-loan Premiership strikers (Bent & Ince) were just too hot to handle though, Bent probably earns more in a week than our entire squad go figure. Good luck against them at the weekend!
At least you didn't get smashed 5-0... It was a fairly even game but Wolves were utterly ruthless. Does this look like a 5-0 game? lol Steve Evans is being linked with the Peterborough job at the end of the season, if he's planning on leaving then I hope that doesn't destabilise the team.
Is that right? I could've sworn they'd been hammered there a time or two recently. When was the 'sweet Caroline at the navigation' match? They'd lost 3-0 that day, I'm almost positive.
Yeah he's right, head to head records are here: http://www.derbycounty-mad.co.uk/head_to_head/derby_county/vs/sheffield_wednesday/index.shtml At least Owls fans got to see some goals, it makes a change from 0-0.
Um ... huh? According to that, Wednesday lost three of their prior five at Derby (now four of six) with two draws, four scored and thirteen allowed. Perhaps you are including Hillsborough in there ... I was just talking about Wednesday at Pride Park.
