Isn't that answering your own question, or am I misunderstanding? Seems a player would be worth less if she's going to have to be absent so much.

Regardless, boy, Flash! You're making it hard on me! I had fun w/Philly last year.

Well, if said player signed a multi-year contract w/ guaranteed money for all years of the contract, it doesn't much matter how much time they will miss due to the WWC. The club would be obligated to pay and can not refuse national team call-ups for the WWC.

    GK: Harris, Camerson
D: Riley, Wilson, Chapman, Engen, Fountain
    D/M: Bock
M: Zerboni, Goebel, Seger, Kelly Parker, Becky Edwards, Amanda DaCosta (Florida State rookie)
F: Sinclair, Alex Morgan, Veronica Boquete, Danielle Toney (Penn State rookie)

It would be nice to get some rookies still:
    Alex Morgan (1st round)
Amanda DaCosta (3rd round) (if still available, or trade up and get her in 2nd round)
Danielle Toney (4th round) (under the radar forward from Penn State)

Players in blue above, still need to be added.

Flash also have a pick at the end of the first round (#8 overall).

And how good their reserve players are once national teams come calling for their players. Although, I think Boston will be hit hardest on that front...

They might also want someone who's taken an English class to rewrite their mission statement.

Found an article about the Flash's recent signings here

The first half of that is something we're all speculating, but I thought the part about them trying to bring Marta is interesting. Will Sinclair and Marta be reacquainted? We'll see..

I can't see WNY trotting Ashlyn Harris around like a show pony for their first signing only to put her behind Hope Solo. Solo was a free agent before this and it seems to me with signing both Harris and Brittany Cameron that WNY was never interested in Solo in the first place and with their GK situation all set, they never will be.

I just can't see Hope anywhere but Atlanta in 2011.

    - Boston already has Naeher and the fans would ride her regardless.
    - SkyBlue has Bardsley and Barnam already.
    - MagicTalk Freedom has McLeod who is a clear number one.
    - WNY has Harris and Cameroon, so they are set.
    - Philly has Henderson who already emerged as a #1.

With Barnie, LeBlanc, Loyden, Davis, McCray, Whitworth, Lipsher, Marone, and others still FAs where else will she go? Same for Barnie, LeBlanc, Loyden, et.al. I bet there will also be some overseas movement for the season.

The WNT contract requires players to play in a US league if there is a league.

The play in the US contract requirement just sounds like a rumor to me. Since none of us non-players have seen a contract, it's all conjecture. Of course, some former WNT players might jump in here and set us all straight. What's the rest of the story?

    No HOPE

Hope Solo is a great stopper but is far from the ideal team player. She has had a chance to learn from past mistakes (on and off the field) but never seems to learn. We need a keeper who supports her defenders and inspires the team. Lets keep our current keepers.

Thanks for the responses to my comment about one requirement of the US contracts. My niece is a starting WNT player. She says the contract requires players to play in a league if there is a league. I assume she knows what is in her contract.

What about Ali Krieger? I don't have an answer except she may not have a WNT annual contract.
