If he were Buddle or someone like that you'd be right. Not for #1 American striker though. He needs playing time, wherever whenever. Not a "learning experience" in training.
And btw it's wonderful to see a team like Villareal taking the game TO Real Madrid, in the Bernabeu. Well done to the manager.
That's not Altidore's problem, that's Bob Bradley's problem. He's 20/21. He's in the development stage of his career. So yes, a learning experience is exactly what he needs, and Jozy needs to look out after himself, and his career first and foremost. Back to the game, Real Madrid continues to be on the back foot, though they have possession right now.
That he's our best striker might be unfortunate for us, but it's not a good reason for Jozy to halt his development, if Villarreal is indeed what's best for it.
wow, how did Rossi manage to control that? He fell backwards trying to the recieve the ball, and controls it WHILE on the ground and getting up, with a defender having a go at him, and draws a foul.
This has been the best 30 minutes of La Liga action I've ever seen. It's usually slow, stop-start and dreadfully refereed, IMO. Not this - this has been excellent.
What a classy striker from Marco Ruben.... Rossi has came out strong, but has faded. Their midfield need to do better at distributing when in the final 3rd, almost everytime they get there they often give it up or get offsides with their passing. Villarreal is holding their own though. I hope jozy can get on... Marco Ruben though shows why he is above altidore with that amazing goal.... wow.
A little frustrating watching Ruben...he didn't look that great to me but his goal was fantastic...I don't think Jozy ever lobs the goalie in that situation...Rossi on the other hand is special...
