ROOOOOONALDO!!! 1/30/2007 5:24:00 PM The dream has come true and Ronie is a Milan player. The official news arrived from A.C. Milan at 4.30pm CET Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, better known as Ronaldo, is finally a Milan player. The Brazilian is a true champion and brings with him an impressive list of honours and personal triumphs. Nicknamed, 'The Phenomenon', Ronaldo has won the World Cup twice - 1994 and 2000 - as well as playing the 1998 final. He then became all-time topscorer in the World Cup finals last summer when netted his 15th goal to overtake Gerd Muller. At an individual level, apart from the World Cup goalscoring record, Ronie has been awarded the Golden Ball on two occasions, in 1997 and 2002 while also lifting the UEFA player of the year in 1998 and FIFA player of the year for 1996, 1997 and 2002. His club honours make impressive reading: Brazilian Cup (Cruzeiro, 1993), Dutch Cup (PSV Eindhoven, 1996), Cup Winners Cup (Barcelona, 1997), UEFA Cup (Inter, 1998), Spanish League (Real Madrid, 2003) and two Spanish Super Cups (Barcelona, 1996; Real Madrid, 2003).
If he gets fit, watch out. I've always thought Ronaldo is top class, but the thing I can't understand is that how can he play for rival clubs? Barca and Real now Inter and Milan.
from the BBC: Milan complete signing of Ronaldo Does anyone know what Ronaldo's weekly salary will be at Milan? Or will it still be Real Madrid paying Ronaldo's weekly wage?
RM wont pay anything to Ronaldo but the wages will probably be 7-9M per year. Best of luck to him and Milan. Get him in shape or...
Thanks. Ronaldo doesn't come cheap. One would think that since Real Madrid have taken such a public stance that Ronaldo has no place on their team, Milan would have been able to negotiate a better transfer price. But Milan are desperate for goals. Good luck to Milan, and here's to hoping that Ronaldo scores at a rate of better than a million dollars per goal.
Thought the exact same thing, like a football mercenary! I have always begrudgingly admired Ronaldo, while not a fan of the player his undoubted quality cannot be overlooked! Ronaldo is still 30 so there's still enough time to prove his doubters wrong! Still not a fan truely, but he is still a special player! My dad's a huge fan though, so I might soon be purchasing a Milan Ronaldo shirt for father's day!
Just a friendly tip: Beware of reelmad, sibour and solid_snake because if you say anything against Ronaldo they'll flame you :check RM forum for proof: And I'm also a big Ronaldo fan....but his attitude over the last year has disappointed me.....I hope he does well for you people and gets himself in form to be called one of the best again.....
I think the few extra weeks off will do him some good, let him get back some fitness and get to know how the team works.
It's more like Real Madrid fans flame them for posting facts instead of stupid one liners that half of your posters are known to do on the regular. Who cares about the attitude? The production is what matters and Ronaldo was the most productive galactico ever since he joined Real.
Why did I even bother to say that Anyways just goodluck with Ronaldo and hopefully he'll keep you in Serie A
I'm glad that Ronaldo is back in Italy. Hopefully more big name players will come to Serie A. Rumors that Milan are going after Ronaldinho... I'm not in favor of A.C. "Little Brazil" Milan but like I said I hope more big name players come to Italy.
I too like to see Ronaldinho leave spain (for obvious reasons)....and come to Italy and join R9. To be a football legend nowadays...you gotta play in serie A.
Ronaldo come with his goals to Milano... Siena saw his first show... Now line is Sampdoria's.... Ronaldo...Forza..PHENOMENO...99...
I thought he played very good today that offside goal shouldn't of been called offside he had an assist and create several freekick chances
Milans fans here is one more thing to be happy about You now have in your possession.....Mr. El Clasico himself. Now thats what I call a resume More sorrow ahead for Inter.......sweet Thats right folks its getting better all the time.....woe be unto Inter
