  1. Saturday 11th of august Az plays against Inter Milan in a friendly. The RTVNH broadcasts the entire match and starts the programm at 18:00 CET.
Maybe there will be something online too available, see http://www.rtvnh.nl/sport/ to find out if there are highlights or maybe even the match live.
I expect Romero to get a half match playing time.

  2. Romero has started the last few matches for AZ, because Waterman made too many mistakes in recent matches. Romero is too eager to prove himself, so he made mistakes too, one of them causing a penalty. He has to calm down and just do what he's good at.

  3. Romero started against Feyenoord in the home match last wednesday. He made an unbelievable save. He was standing almost on his line and about two meters in front of him was Feyenoord player Luigi Bruins standing with his back turned towards Romero. Luigi Bruins was surrounded by Az defenders. The ball was played into the penalty area towards Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who headed the ball to Luigi. He made a salto in the air and kicked the ball over his head to the goal. In a reflex Romero managed to punch the ball out of the goal.

  4. In the last match of the season Romero made it into the "Star team of the week" of the soccer magazine "Voetbal International". He was awarded an 8 (out of 10) for his performance.

  5. Romero stopped a penalty kick in the match against Sparta Rotterdam. AZ is unleashed now. They destroyed Sparta 6 - 0 and are playing amazing football at the moment, that does remind us of the football they played in the season that they missed the Champions title by a hair. Last season was terrible, but after starting with two defeats they seem to have the train back on track again.
