I'm surprised there is nothing posted about this: http://www.rockontherange.com/ Should be a good way to destroy the pitch.
hoo wee that sounds like a hell of a show... if its like X-fest in Dayton they will destroy the pitch not tear it up. Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Hinder that ill bring out 20,000 pot smoking, beer guzzlin teens every time. Who in the world okayed CCS for that show? say good bye to the turf fellas (what is ZZ Top doing on that bill?)
I'd rather slam my junk in the door twice while having the "best" of Max Bretos pumped over a loud speaker then listen to Evanescence.
Should be a good opportunity for me to go see Puddle of Mudd, and think about a certain single off of the second album and a certain young lady that should not be named. And Velvet Revolver of course.
My concern is this.....With me being a member of Crew Soccer Nation and one of the "perks" for being a season ticket holder is to get a chance to buy advance tickets, when will i get that chance? It is my understanding that the 99.7 the blitz has an advance ticket code. so what about the people who have already purchase season tickets in the assumption that we recieve these "perks"?
no kidding, i honestly keep reading the thread title and thinking that its a misplaced thread from the colorado forum (you know, what with the front range mountains and all)...
This is Cowtown after all. And I get to listen to this regardless since The Hunt is so close. Kiss the pitch goodbye. How soon is the next home match after that????
Concert - 5/19/07 (road game @ NY that night) Next home game - 5/26/07 v Toronto Considering the one bad spot on the turf (from one of the summer concerts last year) seemed to stay all summer, I don't know if I like our chances.
To be fair, it was just the one show last year that caused problems. I think it was a gospel show too. Anyway the other concerts and high school football didn't result in any problems.
It's "Crew Stadium" not The Crew Stadium. I alos just noticed this "U.S. Open Cup - Crew vs. LA Galaxy Tue Apr 24, 2007 @ 7:30 pm"
Is Crew Stadium only getting one-off festivals this year? Just saw a listing on ticketmaster for "Tribute To The Troops with Leann Rimes and others" Looks like it's a week before a Red Bulls match in June. These guys don't sound like pitch destroyers, but I suppose it's all about how well the grass is covered and protected.
One would think that Michael W Smith concerts don't sound like pitch destroyers either but get a few motorcycles out on the pitch and see what happens!
It wasn't the crowd...it was the field covering that was 'guaranteed' not to harm the pitch underneath. It was also about 147 degrees in the sunlight...that stuff was so hot I couldn't even kneel on it to shoot from.
