    With all the talk of tulsa, and other cities getting a new team the idea of Rochester moving up to MLS hasn't been discussed in a while. I have a few questions for you all to consider;

    1) What would it take for the MLS to move Rochester up to a MLS team.

    2) What all goes in to switching a team from A-League to MLS???

    3) Does it happen straight up, all of the same players? What all goes into this?

    Any other info anyone deems important please, feel free.

    1) What would it take for the MLS to move Rochester up to a MLS team.

    Answer: 20 million cash, the ability to convert the roster to MLS contracts, a stadium that is 22,000 and meets FIFA domestic match standards and is worthy of being called Major League.

    2) What all goes in to switching a team from A-League to MLS???

    Answer: A central issue is giving MLS 51 percent ownership of the club, and converting player contracts to MLS contracts, which will mean voiding them all and starting over.

    3) Does it happen straight up, all of the same players? What all goes into this?
    Rhinos have to meet league wide salary cap limits, per player salary limits, roster number limit, and number of foreign player limits. That means pay cuts (for a few), personnel changes, and players have to come to terms with MLS personnel chief Ivan Gazidis. Then the Rhinos have to have a shirt sponsor that is a national contract.

    Yeah, this hasn't been discussed for at least 10 seconds now.

    Please look at existing threads next time.
