oh yeah, well, how many players owned by an MLS club were involved for the opposing team? oh... never mind

Just more evidence this is a latchkey operation. But youth development is hard work, and the Revo FO are very busy.
Bent Musket generally gives the Revs more credit than they deserve. This is a pretty scathing piece though.
If Rochester was a problem with distance, how is San Antonio going to be better? It's fine if it's a long-term loan of several weeks. Find the best situation for thje player, especially if he's a GK and needs to be able to start. The most baffling thing about this article is while training camp was going on, why didn't the Revs bring in a couple of the best Rhinos? Not like we had a ton of trialists competing for minutes. Could one of them be the next Josh Smith? Maybe, but you never know unless you give him a chance. And what Lilley says is correct--it helps Rochester if the players there think that this is a genuine pathway to MLS. But instead, Minnesota and Philly ended up with the players, not us. Oh well, it's just.... (too much effort to finish the rest of the sentence)
It has now been 1 year and 1 week since the last Revs player donned a Rhinos uniform. Michael "don't call me Oscar" Gamble played for Rochester on April 17, 2016.
Herivaux started for San Antonio in their 3-2 win over Seattle II. You can see his match stats if you scroll down to the formation. Pretty sweet you can watch the full match on USL's website. http://www.uslsoccer.com/seattlesoundersfc2-sanantoniofc-905508
Looks like Zach suffered a foul for which his opponent was red-carded in the 92', but ZH was able to stay in the game. Welcome to USL, kid.
Zach came on in the 84th and scored a goal. http://www.uslsoccer.com/portlandtimbers2-sanantoniofc-905515

Three months later, let's take another look at our USL loanees: Zachary Herivaux (San Antonio) GP: 5, Min: 214, GS: 2, Goals: 1, no games played since April (above) Donnie Smith (Charlotte) GP: 9, Min: 713, GS: 8, Assists : 2 Matt Turner (Richmond) GP: 20, Min: 1800, SO: 3, (2 Wins in 20 starts) Brian Wright, (Tulsa) GP: 3, Min: 186, GS: 2, Assists: 1 Minutes with Revs this year: Herivaux: 0 Smith: 53 Turner: 0 Wright: 45 "Hey, we are trying to push for the playoffs! We don't have time to develop the kids..."
This is like a multiplier effect on the playoffs-related-depression of which many are already in the throes. One would hope for a team to make playoffs and still find a way to develop youth. If that's not possible, then at least get one of the two done well. Revs have done neither, a stunning achievement in of itself.
