Anthony Lozano scores his 7th goal of the season in Tenerifes 2-0 victory today, he is the teams goal leader.
The dude needs to keep gunning and and have good showings with the NT and Olympic team and I have no doubt that he lands with a big team unless Olimpia do something stupid and sell him to the MLS.

It's the off-season and there are many CA guys signing with the MLS but mainly Costa Ricans and Panamanians and others being rumored, I don't remember a time where there as been this many.

Jose Escalante has signed with the NY Cosmos of the NASL, Best of luck to him that ain't a bad team to land with. Also this is a one year loan since he still belongs to Olimpia

It's a loan due to his situation and if he is going to the NASL he might as well sign with the best team in the league.

Yea, but this doesn't help him what so ever. Dude would literally have to ball outrageous to even get a look from MLS teams and scouts. NASL is not an feeder for the MLS like some people seem to believe. Good for him though, cuz now he doesn't have to struggle in a foreign country financially anymore.

I doubt that he cares due to his life being on the line, but if the Cosmos actually give him enough game time and he plays well then Pinto can call him up to the Olympic squad and he could get some exposure and interest from abroad not just the MLS.

Also this Cosmos team is actually richer than more than half of the MLS teams (they are willing to drop more than 400 million on a stadium) and has one the highest payrolls in the league that are comparable to MLS teams. Playing for a rich team in one the most famous Cities in the world can look really attractive to a young kid from a 3rd world country so I don't blame him if he decides to stay long term due to his situation, staying there long enough for a Green card/Residency is worth it alone for him.

iight, yea, so his career basically hinges on whether or not he plays in the Olympics. Problem is his position is stacked and he didn't exactly light up the U-20 when he played.

This kid will have to put in a lot of work if he wants to reach a higher level of soccer if his starting point is the Cosmos, which almost seem like a novelty act at this point, than a serious team.

Like I said, I wish him the best of luck and am glad he found a meal ticket for the time being since he has to support himself and his partner in a foreign country he was forced into.

Remember that Pinto called up Darwin Espinal who plays at the same level so anything can happen and I wouldn't be surprised to see both Deybi Flores and Bryan Rochez play in the USL next year, plus I believe that he will call up a big camp to train and then choose from there who he will take to Rio so he has a chance if he gets game time.

I don't think Jose is bout going back to Honduras even if it's just for a training camp session with the U-23 NT.. This kid seems too spooked to return.

Roger Espinoza is the first call up confirmed for the NT by Pinto, he says that he wants to evaluate him and help him get into the mold for the upcoming games vs El Salvador I hope that he also calls up Jona for these friendlies considering that he got ********ed over by the Federation.

I feel disappointed.. only new Central American entering the league according to wiki is our boy Deybi Flores.

btw notice a Colombian made the leap from Cosmos to Union. Maybe there's hope for Escalante after-all!

NYFC signed Ronald Matarrita and the Whitecaps signed Christian Bolanos the Colombus Crew drafted a Guatemalan national, Jordan Smith is on loan with the Whitecaps and wouldn't be surprised if the buy him and the Montreal Impact signed Johan Vanegas last summer, Panamanians Pedro Jeanie, Renan Addles and Armando Cooper were heavily rumored and Roman Torres and Ronaldo Escobar signed last summer, Costa Rica is absolutely kicking our ass in terms of transfers and that shouldn't be a surprise.

Well lol it looks like Escalante won't be signing with the Cosmos after all, IDK wtf happened but if he doesn't find a team soon then he will missing out on an opportunity to play in the Olympics. He was linked to the Philly Union and that Greek second division team.

  19. Or he could just hang out in the US and apply for asylum.

He is still on Olimpia's payroll so let's see if the club actually helps him out through this.

That midfield is disgusting and I'm specifically referring to Byron Mendez, Carlos Will and Oliver Morazan. Why does Pinto waste time with these chumps.
