Oh, @Knave. C'mon, I intended for folks to have some fun with this. Hence, my ridiculous suggestions above. Afterall, @Knave, remember when that one guy, oh who was it, do you remember, @Knave? Anyway, he posted that, from his experience as a mod that one way for this board to succeed is to have someone who consistently posts new topics to generate discussion and interest. Let's see, who was that, @Knave? Do you remember, @Knave? Anyway, this board has been getting a little stale, IMO. So, @Knave, I try to do my part, and then someone just has to come along and spoil everyone's (or at least my) fun. Pooper.
This just means we'll have no competition for our "voted best crest" title (from Reddit) It's not bad, just "meh"
Oh, good, I was looking for that date. Can't wait. A Davis location would be perfect for a coffee stop on the way to the Bay Area. (Insight also isn't bad, either coffee-wise or location-wise.)
I'm pretty sure I've heard "Rapid" and "Timber"... "Revs" and "G's" are pretty much universally understood in their cities.

I assume the two games of the MLS conference finals are two weeks apart to accommodate the international games? It's too bad that there is a week of between games one and two. Are these friendlies or Olympic qualifying?
Lost in all the excitement about expansion is the announcement that Middle Tennessee will play Western Michigan in the Popeye's Bahamas Bowl! 40 bowl games and only 75 teams qualified so far by NCAA rules, so there is a chance that teams with losing records might get in one. This means you, @SierraSpartan!
In the end, only 77 universities qualified with the necessary six wins over FBS schools to qualify for the 80 bowl openings. So, the remaining three slots can go to the five-win schools with the best academic performance programs: Nebraska San Jose State Minnesota Now, to date myself. When I was a kid there was a time when there were only about 8 bowl games. Orange, Sugar, Cotton, Rose, Peach, Citrus, Liberty, Independence and, briefly, the Asto-Bluebonnet bowls. How time$ change.
