Good first half by Boca. The defense has been shakey at times but overall it was ok. Carrizo is having a hell of a game. The scoreline clearly doesn't do it justice. Boca sould be winning by at least 3 goals.

Nice first half by Boca. They get the early goal but they keep pushing, creating chances. Too bad they cannot finish. River is showing that they have a quality goalkeeper and so far little else.

Looking good so far, but 1-0 at halftime means nothing. There are no garantees in the superclasico.

Vamos Boca!! Lets keep taking it to them!

Damn they want to give us hinchas a heart attack. :D

I think Carrizo pretty much earned a spot on the Copa America team after this performance.

Anyone who takes seriously what this clown says must be shot.

boca played a very well first half and I will admitt they deserved a better result then just the 1-0.But screw them. Where the hell was River in their gol? Or in the first half for that matter?!

2nd half. What a difference.A whole different attitude in the 2nd half the way River came out to pressure.Tuzzio had an amazing game.Wow.The whole team in general for the 2nd half played great for the exception of Belluschi, who did play and ran his life but dam nothing came out right for him, nothing at all.Rosales lost alot of balls also but he tried taking players on and asked for it all the time.Ruben has mad potential ran the defenders down like crazy something you don't see forwards do often.Carrizo exceptional. If it wasn't for him in the first half we would have lost this game.Ferrari, what can I say? Best player River has had for awhile and even federico Dominguez played pretty well.

Figuras for River. I agree with Carrizo and Ferrari and also the kid Fernandez.

boca's standout were Ledesma and the kid Banegas

2nd half of this clasico must have been one of the best 45 minutes I have seen in a very long time.Back and fourth could have been anyones game. Too bad boca couldn't catch up to el Cuervo. :)

It sucks to tie that way, after dominating the first half and getting so many chances. But in the second half Boca let up. River didn't play well, but they were working harder and evened up the game. At the end they almost stole it.

It was a nice game, lots of mistakes but wide open and with lots of chances. But I'm pissed. I suppose everybody's pissed. Nobody can be happy with this result. Except for San Lorenzo.

El 2do tiempo fue casi todo River, no jodas. Belluschi jugo un mal partido, desperdicio muchos ataques donde se tenia que haber marcado goles. Tuzzio jugo un partidazo, las figuras del partido fueron de River.

Casi todo River? Please, both teams created a bunch of chances in the second half. It was about even. River created alot with the counterattacks but the defenders took care of them. They rarely troubled Caranta's goal.

I'm not trying to defend the team: we had an extremely horrible first half and played a better second half, but that still wasn't up to River's standards. Yet we could have won it in several ocassions. There were two opportunities that Ruben had, one for Belluschi, and some others I am not remembering at the moment.

Definitely. As did Boca with the open headers Palermo missed and that FK by Riquelme which Carizzo incredibly saved with his foot. Both teams were about even in the second half imo.

That free kick by Roman was deflected by a River player which made it an even more incredible save.

Even though I hate to admit it, I agree with Dr. Know on his take regarding Carrizo. He should be going to the Copa America this summer, not to Milan.

Helluva game. My only complaint aside from not taking three points was Pezzotas inability to control the game. At times it looked as it was going to turn into a leg breaker of a match and I'm grateful no one (even a gallina) got hurt. Carizzo was definitely MOTM and arguably a step ahead of Ustari.

I don't know about that. I thought Pezzota could have been a bit more severe with his cards, especially with the River players, but he was not that much of a factor in the game.

For the most part Pezzotta was close to the play. I don't think he lost control. That is not as much his merit as a merit of the players. I thought both teams wanted to play, of course they played hard and physical, but there was not as much 'mala leche' as I've seen in previous superclasicos.

It's not a mystery why Boca didn't win. Boca didn't win because Carrizo was great, and because Palermo, Riquelme and Palacio missed too many chances. Those are the keys to the game. Not the ref.
