They have won their last 10 games, by scorelines of:

    3-0
    3-0
    2-0
    2-0
    3-0
    2-0
    4-0
    3-1
    3-1
    3-0

-They have won every single one of those games by multiple goals (2 or more).
-They have 8 shutouts in their last 10 games (all victories, once again by at least 2 goals in all 10 matches).
-They have scored at least 3 goals in 7 of those 10 matches, and 2 goals in the other 3 matches.
-Their combined scoreline in these 10 games: 28-2 (margin of victory +26)
-During these 10 games, they've scored 14 goals per each time their opponent scored 1 goal (14-1 ratio)

These 10 opponents (in order, and including their opponent's record as of today):

    Pepperdine (8-3-3)
    Georgia (3-9-1)
    Auburn (9-4)
    Loyola Marymount (7-3-3)
    North Carolina (7-2-3)
    Kansas (8-4-2)
    Arizona (6-5-1)
    Oregon (6-6-1)
    Oregon State (5-6-2)
    Stanford (10-1-1)

Most of these teams are in contention to make the NCAA tournament, and probably at least half will.
It's not like they've played a cupcake schedule.

And of course, their 3-0 victory over Stanford is thee most impressive performance of the season, by any team in the nation, for a single match. No one is topping that by season's end.

And with Morgan Andrews dominating teams like UNC and Stanford so far this season, they are National Championship contenders.

This is a "BETTER" team than the version that won the National Title back in 2007.
They might have been the most shocking team to ever win the College Cup (their ranking says they were).
The 2007 team was ranked around #9 in the nation going into the NCAA tournament.
This team will be ranked higher, and could get a #1 seed.

They are "undefeated" and "perfect" so far in Pac 12 play.
If they go 1-0-1 in their two matches against Cal & UCLA, and win the rest of their games, they're a #1 seed.
    And your Pac 12 champions.

I've got to agree with you. I thought they'd be excellent before the season started, but was really surprised when they lost two games early. They have definitely gained momentum and look really good.

If they are a #1 seed, who are your other three ?

(I'd say Stanford, WVU, and Duke , or winner of the ACC)

    Yeah.
BYU's loss today has pretty much eliminated them from getting a #1 seed over the ACC Champion.
The ACC champion this year could very well end up with 3 losses, but BYU now has 2 losses, in a weaker league.
The WCC is solid, but the ACC is still much better.

*One of BYU's 2 losses was against a non-conference team, but still, the WCC is not the ACC in strength of schedule

Dang. Just when we thought USC was the best team in the country , Cal beats them today 1-0! Great win for Cal. Basically what this tells me, is Stanf, USC, Cal and UCLA are very good, and could /should all be #1 and/or #2 seeds in the tourney. PAC 12 very top heavy

    PARITY

There are at least 35 teams that can get to the College Cup this year.
And once you get there, it's anyone's trophy.

When you say USC, you mean the University of South Carolina, right?

The USC/Cal game was spectacular today....such a great game with Pace really dominating across the board Both teams brought all they had and both teams had great scoring opportunities only to be thwarted by unbelievable goalkeeping. Too bad this game was not widely televised because it was one for the ages. Congrats to Cal on a great win.

    Nope.
University of Southern California, who are now one of only 4 programs to have won multiple national titles.
UNC, Notre Dame, Portland, and now USC.

South Carolina has never even been to the College Cup.
