Comparing Real Madrid to Arsenal and saying there is no difference in size? Nah. ******** him. How dare he utter Arsenal's name in the same sentence as Real Madrid.

London is a huge city, Arsenal play in a modern stadium, top notch facilities, and offer every kind of luxury a professional athlete wants. What's the "difference in size" that you speak of? The whole "legend, the crest, the glory" only exists in the heads of fans, the players are professionals and Arsenal or other big Premier League institutions offer literally every comfort that Real Madrid or Barca offer.
As if any of our players wouldn't try to fluff any different club they would be playing at. Juve is more of a family y'all. He said he hardly noticed it, not that there isn't a difference.
I'm in agreement, Arsenal is a big club and every bit as serious an enterprise as we are. However, we still have people excuse the club and say it's practically unmanageable because of the expectations...
Yeah I mean, the shirt is "heavier" at Barca, Juve, Bayern or Madrid. But as far as the level you're playing on, Arsenal is top tier. I'd love to have played for Madrid, but a second division team is offering a bench spot? I'm TAKING it.
That's the charging run into the box from midfield and goal we've been missing, could use a player like that at the moment.
“I don't feel sorry for not being in Madrid. I didn't play and I couldn’t enjoy football. Going to Arsenal has been a very important step in my career.” - Dani Ceballos pic.twitter.com/3f5jtSDiSZ— DailyAFC (@DailyAFC) October 8, 2019 Hopefully Ceballos is not getting a case of the Kovacic syndrome...
Whatever, he's not a certified starter at Arsenal either. He would've added some squad depth, but not a massive loss.
He was benched against Spurs and Utd after Liverpool horror show. His coach basically doesn't trust him in big games. He started 13 odd La Liga games last season and hardly made any impact in most of them. Start complaining once you have established as a consistent performer. Odegaard, Reguilon and Hakimi are the ones putting in consistent top performances among our loaned players.
I don't really see an issue with his statements. Plus I think the English translation just sounds a bit harsher than what he really said. I personally think he realizes ZZ will never give him a real chance and probably doesn't care anymore. Hopefully Arsenal pony up the big bucks for him.
Yes, I was going to mention this too. He started against Bournemouth, and Arsenal were playing at home, with two DMCs (Xhaka and Guendouzi) behind him, it was a "comfortable" set-up for him. Not a big loss in my honest opinion.
I suspect that there is a loss in translation somewhere, logic dictates that if he really was glad to get away from Madrid he wouldnt have requested that he only leaves on a loan.
Well, maybe he realizes now that he can have a future somewhere and be happy there for whatever reason.
Maybe that’s how he felt before he actually got there and started to play, however much or little he does
His comments are not as harsh in Spanish. But it's not secret that Zidane does not care for him all that much and had he remained would have found himself at the bottom of the pecking order. Him excelling at Arsenal is only to our benefit. Although I see no future for him at Real Madrid with both Ødegaard and Valverde being better than him.
He 's just not good and has a massive ego to boot. He had plenty of chances to show his quality, but sadly it's just not there
He has been bang average with Arsenal, and still seems to suffer from a lack of positional understanding. And it still seems he suffers from the same immaturity issues that was a concern for me prior to his transfer here, and which he displayed after Zidane left as well. Maybe play a bit more first?
