Great comeback, Ricketts (Wilkinson), cost us the game, we absolutely outplayed NY. I am the opposite of sober
Yes he does. Still don't understand why you traded Perkins for a worse goaltender with a larger salary. For almost every spectacular saves Rickett makes, he gives up a stupid goal. Will be fun to see if one of them can make their ex-team pay next game!
Surely its at least some, if not mostly Rickett's fault. Yeah it was a dumb and dangerous backpass from Silvestre, but how the hell was Rickett's first instinct to pick the ball up? It wouldn't have been so hard for him to give a quick little clearance off to the side.
I hate to be on the side of defending Ricketts because I do not really rate him much nowadays, but that was definitely a stupid pass. No two ways about it. At any level of football, that is too tight of quarters, too may opponents in the area, and too close of proximity. Ricketts was also dumb for handling the ball; it looked as though he did not recognize it was a back pass until too late. According to the broadcasters, Silvestre arrived in town last Thursday. What? Can that be true? I suppose that is what you get when the CB and GK have never scrimmaged together. It is baffling that Porter would start Silvestre on such short notice. You folks would be pleasantly shocked at how many Timbers fans there now are in NEO. Everyone around here thinks Timbers should have taken all the points.
Does anybody find it strange that he is so good for the Jamaican national team and so bad in the mls?
He still does, we just don't talk about it as much because we're too busy stuffing the ballots with his save of the week nominations. [/sarcasm]
I guess despite Ricketts' most recent amazing performances, we shouldn't overlook the completely poor clearance in the USOC match vs. FCD that gave a gift of a goal to Perez. Thankfully we still pulled through. One gift received begs one gift given, I guess. We better not see that from Ricketts again during match play.
Ok, I am a complete imbecile. Last night I saw the Neagle header, that Rickets saved off the crossbar, unfold right in front of me. That is the greatest save I have ever seen in person. There is absolutely no way that a 6'11 431 pound dude can move that fast, even if said dude is kin to Ussain Bolt. That save was impossible, Ricketts used magic. In closing, Rickets = MVP, Me = Idiot.
Ricketts is a Jedi. I guess it takes a while to develop those skills, but he's developed them, nonetheless.
