Does an interview in this podcast: http://m.espn.com/general/play?id=19638263&wjb Found him at about 44 minutes. Sounds like his girlfriend is Christina Murrillo who is another American-born player playing for Mexico.
There's supposed to be: http://www.espnfc.us/mexican-liga-m...e-to-form-womens-league-to-help-national-team It's mostly U23 with 2 overage players. They did play a Copa MX for the women in the spring as a starting point.
But, unless I missed something, there's nothing in the pod about her playing league football in Mexico. She appears to be playing WPSL in Detroit. She's still part of the Mexican NT as well.
Coming back to the US: Hearing that former #FCDallas GK Richard Sanchez is headed back to #MLS and will go through the allocation order.— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) August 10, 2017
Good for him. He should still be in consideration for El Tri in the long run, I'd think. Sanchez has lots of experience with their YNTs, and after the loss of Jesse Gonzalez, Mexico has only one keeper age 25 or under, Gibran Lajud, who currently starts in a professional first division, so there should eventually be roster spots for Sanchez to contend for.

Sanchez spent two years with Atlético Madrid's academy before he turned 16, so it's possible he has a Spanish passport like Luca de la Torre. In any case, there's no official report yet on the move. If it happens, it wouldn't be clear that Sanchez would have a starting spot, as Millwall's keeper Jordan Archer had a statistically outstanding season, earned his first Scotland callup, and is under contract through 2019.
Just a routine check-in. He just signed with LA Galaxy after bouncing around in MLS & USL: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/la-galaxy-add-free-agent-goalkeeper-richard-sanchez
