That is some of the highest praise there is for a player like Richie. Managing to show his quality in a game where his team struggled might mean even more than something like a two goal, one assist performance in a 3-2 comeback against another youth team -- although that was nice... He's on the first team radar for sure, if not already in plans to be brought in for a quick spell soon.
I wasn't able to watch the game today, but I honestly didn't see a "drop-off" from Ledezma against Cambuur on Monday. What I saw was repeated ball progression and ball retention even under heavy pressure, and another 90%-plus passing performance from a player who is always looking to drive the game forward. If your striker can't receive the ball cleanly (a terminal problem for Ngonge against Cambuur) it doesn't matter how well you play, you won't get a lot of chances for goals and assists. I agree with everything else you wrote.
Fox, that has the rights, only broadcasted one match between two title contenders. The other matches were highlights. Didnot see them.
From what little I've seen if him at PSV his intensity and work rate seem to have gone up a notch. At RSL he had a tendency to shut off or become disintereted.

Highlights from the 2-1 win over FC Eindhoven. Richie came off after 74' but is everywhere on the first half highlights. Made the pass that won a penalty. I love how he keeps his head up and can pick out a pass even when he's going full out.
