    Very interesting.

I doubt Rudi is ready to start. He hasn't play a single min the last 3 months due to injury.

This is a must win game.

Looks like CP is indispensable in Frank’s mind’s eye.

Guess the kid is fit because he is playing a lot of minutes this month.

Prediction: 2 goals and 1 assist

Lille is starting mostly 2nd team players. No excuses for Chelsea here.

Hoping for 4-0 by halftime and for Pulisic to rest the 2nd half.

Christian Pulisic's game by numbers vs. Lille:

    83% pass accuracy
    51 touches
    8 take-ons completed
    8 touches in opp. box
    5 recoveries
    3 chances created
    2 shots
    1 shot on target

    Another dazzling display. [IMG]

How many dispossessions? I appreciate he is trying to make magic happen around the opponent's box, but he does often need to get that ball off his feet quicker.

Yes, he does, but please don't spoil the narrative.

Great match by CP...Too bad he didn't record a stat...Really deserved something.

He was on point. He might have given the ball away twice all game and he was on it constantly. The confidence he was playing with in tight spots was as high as I've ever seen it. Granted Lille isn't the type of club to push him around to get him off his game.

Once Pulisic went out Chelsea went limp. Incredibly he might be their most important player now. Probably right up their with Kante, who was immense today and vindicated Lampard's decision to play him higher up.

    3. Better than Everton, where he was dispossessed 6 times.

I would add Willian to that conversation. He’s been really really good also.

Too much to ask for an all touches video?

    Thanks

That's good to know. I remember the dispossessions mainly because I'm cheering for him to do better. As he gets better, and learns to move the ball faster when he's out of options, he will generate more chances and get more assists. It will be good for him (stay aggressive, just get better when he hits the stone wall)

Puli, Tammy and Willian are developing some solid chemistry. No one else in the squad is challenging any of those three for their spot in the side now.

Midfield needs to be figured out though.

Defense needs to be figured out.

Zouma, Christensen, Rudiger, they're all similar types of defender. They need someone to help keep the line organized.

I thought that is Rudiger, their leader in the back.
