My peak Gen Xer moment was buying my last house and making sure the den would be suitable for optimal video game play.
Bruh that was in my 20s and early 30s. I got kids, career, and a mortgage now. I still go to shows when I can, play video games, snowboard and generally do what the ******** I want to do.
“He is in contention to play.” I hear there is a line of thinking that for City the best probability of success may involve a more defensive midfield, and CP may be called upon in the event not enough chances are being created. No idea if that is right.
I take it as, I'm not telling the opponent who's in the XI a day ahead of time so you can plan for it.
From a Sun article on MBappe, Pulisic's wages...(https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10376870/mbappe-real-madrid-transfer-on/)
It's been my experience coaching basketball that if another team is so much better than you that you feel you have no choice but abandon your typical style of play in order to try to contain them, you still end up losing, just by a different score. While the ability to make in-game adjustments is nice, the more successful teams do whatever they are good at well enough to beat teams that are doing whatever it is that they are good at. What Chelsea is good at is open, attacking soccer that creates lots of chances. If I'm Lampard I stick with that to start the game, then switch things up if I must.
Yes, that is the most likely explanation. But I have seen some people making the case for a more defensively solid midfield against City.
I hear you - but they cite capology.com as the source and I don't know, seems like they know what they are doing: https://capology.com/premier-league/salaries/
That's what you might want everyone to think. I expect Lampy to come out firing and take the game to Citeh. There's nothing to loose. Citeh is the one playing under pressure.
I don't think they do. Pulisic is not even on that list. He should be on the top 10 of that list if he's really getting 230k a week. Did we ever have a yank on the top 50 highest paid in the EPL? Maybe Dempsey at Hotspur? Ozil at $18M....damn that's got to hurt bad.
In watching City they have the most problems with good clubs who go at them...until they figure it out and cut them to shreds. I'd pressure hard in the first half, get a goal, and then be pretty compact in the second. In which case I'd start CP and sub him out early second half for a fifth defensive back.
ESPN's take is that he's fully fit and ready to start: https://www.espn.com/soccer/chelsea...lisic-fit-available-for-manchester-city-clash
Lampard said he had a problem going into the game against palace. Also said he began training mid this week.
