I find it incredibly interesting that stat about them being the first Prem team in awhile to have 11 straight goals scored by players under 21. Ironically the transfer window has made them commit to giving their youth chances... which might make them the Tottenham of the 2020s, who themselves were the Manchester United of the 2010s. I'm being a little loose with the decades (Man U youth movement was more late 90s) and I'm not saying that's what is going to happen.... But it could!
Just FYI. TNT doesn't have the Chelsea vs Valencia match scheduled for TV on the 17th. https://www.tntdrama.com/schedule Not sure if this is purposeful trying to get more subs for BR Live or they are just unaware of Pulisic and Chelsea. No direct email contact information but they use Facebook and Twitter. Maybe we could get them to change if enough of us voice our opinion. Feel free to post this in other forums, I haven't been here in a while and wasn't sure exactly where to post. Thanks!
They're showing Liverpool vs. Napoli on TV. Understandable the defending champs (who play a really exciting style) get priority over Chelsea.
I’m going to put this question here since Pulisic is the most popular Yank abroad. What is a show or podcast that comes out weekly that covers Yanks abroad thoroughly? I want to listen or better yet, watch weekly but am really tired of trying to search the net for information each week. I would love to know the injuries, coaches comments on said player, highlights. I would think a well put together show like that would make money.
I’ve only listened to bits and pieces of the show driving around. Thanks for the info. I’ll see what kind if i demand is available via their app
They are professional. The US of Soccer is heavily oriented toward US-related professional soccer issues at many levels. The other is more heavily oriented toward US players abroad and toward MLS, but not entirely. There is plenty of discussion of teams and players in other first division leagues.
Yeah, good summary. Counter Attack also covers general Euro stuff and I believe has a weekly Mexico feature as well, so it's not just from a U.S. perspective. United States of Soccer covers the yanks abroad, but the way the show prioritizes the domestic game (including the NWSL and lower men's divisions) might not be to the taste of a lot of fans on this forum.
US of Soccer still gives a fair share to yanks abroad and @bshredder is often on. The Football Show in the morning gets into YA's a bit as well, but not as much and usually only the top guys (or guys in major leagues - Adams, Pulisic, McKennie...). A bit more if Phil Schoen is on.
Doubt it. 'Pool and Man City got the #1 & 2 spots. Chelsea, Tottenham, ManU, and Arsenal fight for #3&4. I just don't see BvB beat 2 of those teams. Heck, Leicester and Everton might give them a good run.
The way the other clubs that could have made a similar claim shit the bed... anything’s possible. You may be right though; it’s hard to tell.
Valencia is doing poorly in La Liga, currently #13 after one win, one tie and two losses. They just got rid of their coach, Marcelino Toral, after three league games, so they're coming into this with a new and very inexperienced coach, Albert Celades, in his first job not as an assistant or youth coach (he lost their fourth game). Chelsea should be the ample favorites.
I like the Total Soccer Show. They are mostly Yank centric with some shows dedicated to a league or competition.
