I first heard it when Fred Smoot, who was a cornerback for the Washington Gridiron Football Team at the time, used it about himself. I thought Smoot was super witty and creative about that ... until I learned it had been used in reference to about 13 centerfielders before him and a corner or two. Nice to see it move to a third sport.
it will be interesting to see Central Pa TV ratings for this fall when comparing Chelsea to Penn State football ...
Yes, certainly. When he wore Dutch Orange it was harder to tell, but in Bayern Munich Red you could definitely see that as he ran he was bob bob bobbin' along.
BVB defender Delaney: Chelsea now have Pulisic X factor https://www.tribalfootball.com/arti...ney-chelsea-now-have-pulisic-x-factor-4292322
I think Lampard is at the club to get them through this transfer ban period and to blood some young players without the fans turning on the club. I think the club is fully prepared to finish outside of the top four, and it would probably take something cataclysmic for them to sack Lampard mid-season. I don't expect him to be there next season though.
I'd be surprised if he weren't there next season, barring them finishing... 9th or 10th or something. Why give a club legend a 3 year deal and then sack him when he's basically meeting expectations? Which is what a finish in 6th would be. That doesn't follow for me. They know, if they're smart, that it's time to rebuild at Chelsea.
Poor kid. He barely starts his Chelsea career, and rumors already begun. https://en.as.com/en/2019/08/16/football/1565978661_397394.amp.html
That's kinda of ridiculous but I remember reading that RM started tracking him after BvB faced them in the CL a few years back.
Seems a fairly consistent rumor but he needs to step it up to the long expected "next level" to become a real target IMO. If he plays like he did in the super cup all season, maybe with a bit more timing on his runs, sure.
Don’t you they know that our very own Bob Bradley proudly holds that record at 11 or 13 games? No one in England is going to help Lamps break that record
If he starts he’ll most likely be running at Ricardo Pereira and Jonny Evans. Jonny Evans makes my hair stand up but not because of his quality...
