So, Revs, Dulce et Decorum est Pro Kraftia mori...... Will Jay continue to be the best and the worst pro soccer manager to have played basketball at Duke? Will Seattle win one for the Hipster? Is life between Orcas and a Volcano richer and greener than living on The Razor's Edge? Which is the more shameless tourist trap, Pike's Market or Faneuil Hall? Today, in the clash between the team that paid Clint too little and the team that paid Clint too much, all these questions will be answered.... ... and this is the thread for those answers
I have a bad feeling about this and the Lodeiro/Morris/Dempsey/Bruin quartet will be a handful for our backline, especially Rowe. But the Revs seem to always we do well when I least expect it (and vice versa) so I'm predicting a 2-1 Revs win. We get an early goal, they equalize in the second half and then Femi gets the winner on a counter in the final stages Go Revs!
Fair enough, but I just opened my first. The Dallas/Portland game I am watching while waiting for the Revs game to start is quite entertaining
Daigo (!) makes it 1 0 from about 25 yards on a laughable keeper error by Frei. We will take it. Diego is relishing the ten role. Good first 20 minutes by the boys in blue. Hey, sometimes they play well when no one expected them to win, so why not drop points at home and win in Seattle?
Revs 1 - 0 in the 22nd minute. Daigo scored in the 15th minute. Video of the goal: 858508895324692481 is not a valid tweet id
I told my Portland buddy (with a hearty laugh) the revs would help them out by winning in Seattle, so far the revs are up and joke's on me
2-0 Revs in the 26th. Rowe cross in from left to Agudelo for a header. Nice sequence. .@Krowe210 ➡️ @JuanAgudelo. It's two! #SEAvNE https://t.co/CR1hoikgTx— Major League Soccer (@MLS) April 30, 2017
Matter of time before the revs lose their concentration and give up 2 goals in quick succession, a la DC.
Revs' ONLY chance this game is to hit on the counter. Need to take back some possession, knock it around and kill the game in the second half.
48' #NERevs 2 Sounders 0CROSSBAR! Alonso crashes a left-footed drive off the woodwork. Close call there for the visitors.— New England Revolution (@NERevolution) April 30, 2017 How close for @SoundersFC? THIS close. #SEAvNE https://t.co/3LhUseFwm4— Major League Soccer (@MLS) April 30, 2017
3-0 Revs on the counter. 54th minute. Nice dummy leads to a three on one counter. Agudelo with the finish. Revs running riot! @JuanAgudelo makes it three for @NERevolution. #SEAvNE https://t.co/NTbki3ZgIi— Major League Soccer (@MLS) April 30, 2017
That's just it. Heaps made sure the revs would blow that lead by making those subs. Un-freakin-believable.
Heaps should be fired before he can leave building. He single handedly lost two points. If I didn't know better I'd say this was intentional sabotage.
