Revs with a chance to revenge and earlier road loss. Kudos to the Revs for donating 250 tickets to VetTix.org in honor of Armed Forces day for Vets and their families. All tickets have been claimed. Please thank a Vet for their service. Crew lead the all time series 34 wins to 22 and have a 1 game advantage over the Revs in that series in New England.
Revs: QUESTIONABLE – Juan Agudelo (Upper extremity injury)
Crew: OUT: D - Gaston Sauro (left PCL surgery, out for season); OUT: M - Ben Swanson (right ankle surgery, out for season); QUESTIONABLE: GK - Brad Stuver (right elbow strain); QUESTIONABLE: M - Ethan Finlay (left knee contusion)

    Yee-haw, it's Crew week!

Q: What does a Crew fan and yeast have in common?
A: They are both in bread

Q: Why are Crew fan murders the hardest to solve?
A: All the DNA matches and there’s no dental records

Q: What do a Crew fan divorce and a burning meth lab have in common?
    A: either way, someone’s losing a trailer.

Since we look better with one of Kamara and Agudelo but not both, I'm guessing we'll look much better than our last outing against the Crew. I'm hoping our tactical plan is "give Diego the ball."

Wouldn't be surprised to see Koffie come on to close out a lead, if we have one. The question is who comes off. Likely Caldwell.

Koffie arrived last night, and will be practicing with the team for the first time today.

I'd be willing to bet he is in the starting 11.

I hate when any extremity hurts. Especially the Upper one.

Still trying to figure out what that means.

I mean... A kick to the _Lower_ extremity is pretty well understood...

Is there a euphemism I'm not getting?

The only extremities above the belt are your arms, I would think -- I think they're trying to be vague about whether it's shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand or somewhere in between.

Hockey teams often use the term "upper body injury" so it could be that. Sort of like the NFL's "illegal procedure" penalty, which means you did something wrong, but we don't know what it is.

This lineup but Caldwell starts instead of Koffie. IMO no chance Koffie starts. He just got here yesterday and may not even be in game shape. What was he doing before?

If he sits Caldwell and plays Koffie, at any point, then Heaps is a bigger fool then I already believe him to be right now. There isnt much lower that he can sink

I dont understand why we go after another midfielder when we have so many now. This can't be good news for Caldwell unless Koffie is to replace Kouassi? We need a forward more than another mid

Great to see Diego with a brace! Good response from the team after going down a goal. Can we trade Koffie for a left back? Tierney is so past his sell by date. I'd be happy to bundle Bunbury and Koffie both for someone decent. Maybe someone young an reliable like Seth Sinovic...whay can't we get players like that ;)

Revs fortunate to escape with the 3 points. As they would say in England "dodgy win".

Columbus missed a number of clear cut chances throughout the game and outclassed the revs in every way except the scoreline. I was holding my breath most of the game. The revs seemed to lack ideas in the final third which is a problem if it doesn't get addressed. That said, it doesn't matter - a win is a win.

I agree with Mariner and liked the direct runs by Diego and Lee. Do That more often!

Didnt like the lineup.... Caldwell hits the bench while Femi did next to nothing. Diego continues to be the most dangerous player while our $800K forward got nothing. IMO Heaps lucked out

    Caldwell had a stomach bug.

As for Kei, sure he didn't score but his pass was perfect to setup Diego for the on his first goal. He worked hard though made poor decisions on a few occasions that halted the attack.

Femi doesn't offer much but he's a fan favorite for whatever reason.

I do think Rowe should be the left back going forward. He had an incredible number of steals today, and he should be able to give us some offensive production as well.

Delamea is not the best center back in the world -- he didn't do very well on Columbus's goal, for example -- but he wins an incredible number of headers.

Caldwell did play late but I'll forget that one. Heaps still has a numbers at half now...Too many.

Yes Kei made a good pass to Diego but for $800K a year, I would like to see more scoring. I still think we do better when Diego plays AM, not Lee

I like your thinking, but Koffie isn't ours to deal. He's here on loan.

"The revs seemed to lack ideas in the final third" Obviously you missed the Rev's first goal.

You obviously missed my last line of that post. The first goal was great; there just wasn't enough of that type of movement and penetrating runs.
