I’m curious how a coach with, you know, tactical acumen, will line us up against RBNY without Gil. An early read on Caldwell vs Zahibo, who’s the number 2 keeper, among other things...

Isn't it most likely that Gil, being human, is being allowed to take advantage of a slow period to return home to see family or take care of some business that needs attending after quickly leaving the country to take a job on another continent? Would a Spanish team really need to see him on trial if they were interested? He has an entire body of work in the Spanish league.

This is most probably just Gil being human and the Revs treating him as such.

Yeah I doubt he's on trial at a different club in Spain. Arena wouldn't get rid of the only guy who can setup and finish in the final third. Gil seems happy and is producing.

The tweeter has basically admitted that it was a joke about Twitter hysteria. Gil isn’t going anywhere (other than Spain, briefly).

especially considering FCC was offering something for him!

I was expecting him to leave on a free during the offseason so that his salary wouldn't count (fully) against the cap.

It had been an empty slot since last August. No one was willing to tell it though.

I spoke about this on twitter to Jeff Lemieux, and he said that Bruce was only referring to THIS window when speaking about the one or two signings.

Maybe Bruce is being shrewd, anticipate is a big word, literally and figuratively.
Maybe they're BOTH "needle moving DPs".
Maybe theres no reason to jump off the building JUST yet.
Maybe this weed is too good, and I won't have time to leap from the wreckage before it all comes crashing down,

Mike Burns (was) bad at his job. We had a thread devoted to it for over a year.
With Bruce making the cut, I'd say this is the closest thing to a indication of what we're getting in the transfer window.

My thought is the offer they received was less than what the Revs had invested. Not sure whether is pride or not but I guess he felt paying him full price to show up to practice was better than cutting bait and taking the loss.

Haiti is 3-0-0 in Gold Cup so far, face Canada on Saturday.

Zachary Herivaux started the first 2 games at DM and played full 180 minutes. Made the 18 but DNP game 3.

Worth noting that in international tournaments you get a 23 man game day roster, and once you're on the tournament roster you make every gameday squad.

I am at a loss to think of players where that is "debatable." Seems like a pretty easy yes or no question.

Zach came on in the 83' minute to help preserve the 3-2 win over Canada. Haiti came back after being down 2-0 at half time. Their reward? A semi-final against Mexico tomorrow night.
