Birmingham Revolution continues to grow... #NERevs loan Zachary Herivaux and Brian Wright to Birmingham Legion FChttps://t.co/RL8VHn42WH pic.twitter.com/rOcAbbkcpb— New England Revolution (@NERevolution) March 14, 2019
It will be interesting to watch Herivaux and Wright to see if they can blossom elsewhere. Might be good to get a change of scenery.
Playing for Soehn and Heaps again. More like a return to old scenery? Hopefully it is a better chance for playing time...
Taj Buchanon apparently has a stress-fracture. Haven't heard a timeline yet, but we probably won't be seeing him for a while.
This story is the kind of thing that just p%^&es me off. Jack McInerney on trial with Montreal Impact The Montreal Impact have a familiar face currently on-trial at the club. The club announced on Wednesday via social media that Jack McInerney is on-trial. McInerney, 26, played last season with USL side Indy Eleven, scoring 10 goals in 31 appearances. Im sure some will knock this guy but who do we have thats better? Why dont we ever find these players? Here we have an experienced goal scorer that is probably looking for another chance in MLS and we don't even entertain the possibility or hear about it? How could this possibly hurt us to look and I cant believe he commands a high price. DO SOMETHING BURNS AND BF. Were going nowhere
I know they're not the CDM so many people think we need, but it surprises me an MLS team hasn't been able to get Luca de la Torre, Emerson Hyndman, or Kyle Scott on loan. None are in the current plans for their EPL clubs, and all 3 of them have pedigree of playing well when presented the chance. Their salary demands wouldn't be that high and none would occupy an intl roster spot. So why arent they in MLS?
while Jack is a fairly talented player(38 goals in 8 mls seasons) and only 26 years old however there has to be a reason he has played on 6 mls teams and 1 USL since 2010. Gonna guess he is a head case and probably a cancer in the locker room. I do however think they should be looking under every stone
I don't know if it's changed, but in the past MLS wasn't interested in taking players on loan without a purchase option. I'm guessing their clubs aren't interested in selling them (at any rational price, at least). I think the issue there, is that we need to give it some time to see if Caicedo-dos can do the job. They obviously thought he could when they signed him and he's just now getting healthy, so let's see what he can do before we start scouring the dust-heap for more strikers.
Yikes ... this happened in the U-20 match against France less than an hour ago. 1109095573725081601 is not a valid tweet id
Definitely want to see Caicedo in action. I hope he starts this weekend over Diego, Juan or whomever. Lets see what he brings. That said also hope they are always looking everywhere possible to find a player and bring them in on trial
Gil is the real deal. When you only pay DP money or quality money for 1 quality player - then you are counting on the coach, his tactics, and scouting eye.
Some more clues popped out about the DP they are targeting in a recent Friedel interview. https://www.prosoccerusa.com/mls/new-england-revolution/revolution-brad-friedel-dp/ - it's someone he knows and has known for a long time - someone who really wants to come here - is a "very, very good player" - negotiations are all about when the player can be released to the Revs (because of his team's place in the standings), not about money
Brad Friedel (again) teases potential DP signing for New England Revolution March 25, 2019, 11:55AM EDT Tom Bogert
On SiriusXM they are really questioning per Friedel quote they say he said he knows the person a long, long time or many, many years. Many are questioning how old of a guy that will be if he has known him that long and how long term of a solution this really is.
Time for a pool? I'll vote for Alan Hutton - second choice, Fernando Llorente. They should be in our price range.
