Verratti and Busquets holding an entire midfield down while 4 people twiddle their thumbs up front. Precious. I know people see Messi a lot like a 10, but he's as much of a 10 as Benzema. Some good moves in midfield don't make you a midfield player.


Barcelona will pay a lot of money and sign good players. It's a given, but it's in our hand to stay better than them.

 

For me the most interesting question will be how Valverde will deal with the egos. He's only worked at clubs where he was incredibly respected, while at Barca it sort of just is his turn to get the job. He's been linked with the job since forever, and after they went through Martino and Luis Enrique, it was one of the only realistic options left.

 

I doubt it.
