No way. Still an amazing comeback ‘We must find the strength to raise our heads. You have to be men. We are all sad. We lost 6-1, it’s not because of the referee. We are primarily responsible.’ - Verrati http://metro.co.uk/2017/03/09/marco...f-the-champions-league-6497942/#ixzz4aqzpAJbi
Hey, FC Barcelona is opening a training school in my backyard! http://www.mystatesman.com/sports/s...-youth-academy-austin/cgPcecWLk6aXI7Kjz06RSN/ They're building new facility in Austin and also opening a facility in Round Rock (where I live!), little town 20 miles north of Austin. Round Rock is on a quest to become "Sports Capital of the World." So Barcelona is the first step in our plan to TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

That experimental side is still extremely good. I mean Ter Stegen is Barca's starting keeper Rudiger is Roma's starting centerback Ginter is Dortmund's center back Kimmich consistently plays all over for Bayern Munich and has a ton of potential Rudy just has a career year and signed for Bayern Munich Goretzka is a great CM for Schalke who would be with the main team if he wasn't hurt all the time Hector is one of the best left backs in the bundesliga Henrichs had a career starting year for Leverkusen. Werner was one of the top goal scorers in the bundesliga Draxler plays for PSG Stindl is a beast of a player Honestly their B/C team is better than most nation's A team. Mexico being beat 4-1 by this team is not surprising at all.
Gio was also completely trash for Mexico this international period. I don't think he gets called up again while Osorio is in charge. I don't know why he was starting against Germany.
Looked like Vela had been keeping him on the bench. Probably the right move based on what I've seen of Vela in a MEX jersey.
Didn't get to watch the game, but the play by play I was following made it seem like Gio was Mexico's best player going forward in the first half. I didn't pay attention to the rest of the tournament but I don't think he played at all against Portugal.
If MLS looks at Gold Cup attendence as an indicator of soccer interest, San Diego didn't do itself any favors tonight. Compare Nashville.

Watched the Tottenham - Chelsea game at Wembley yesterday. What a great game and so much quality all over the pitch. Tottenham hammered and hammered the 2nd half but Chelsea's defense fought like lions. I don't use that expression often (ever) but it applies here.
The top 3 teams:-Real Madrid of Spain’s La Liga -Bayern Munich of Germany’s Bundesliga-Barcelona of La Liga.https://t.co/wyJI97z3tn— FiveThirtyEight (@FiveThirtyEight) August 22, 2017 Link to the list https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/global-club-soccer-rankings/ LA Galaxy at 382
And Toronto the highest ranked MLS side at 171 (above Pachuca, Cruz Azul and Club America, apparently).
426 teams across 18 countries. It seems to be based on continental competition results and player values as determined by Transfermarkt. If I'm understanding this correctly, this is based on a methodology that is primarily used to predict the final standings in the EPL. Like that requires simulations and algorithms.
Down to 426 or something. Unfortunately, their analysis relies heavily on head-to-head results across leagues, e.g., the Concacaf Champions Urinal, which probably isn't a good gauge of MLS teams because of its scheduling. Somewhat obviously, it also includes league play, in which MLS's salary cap enforced parity doesn't help much either. Someone with more time on their hands could adjust for that, though. Nonetheless, I'm sure there is, uh, robust conversation about it in other BS threads...
382nd out of 426. Ok, it looks bad but we are still ahead of Jonkoping, Tromse, GIF Sundsvall, Partick Thistle and of course, Minnesota.
Be careful saying that kind of thing around me. Stuff like this seems to happen... http://wp.me/p5ioea-BH http://wp.me/p5ioea-cW
