Rush and savage are great..i listen to them mostly everyday. THERES TO MANY GODDAWM LIBERALS IN THIS PLACE!!!!!
How the ******** is rush a racist?? you liberals are the true rascist by saying things to minorities like" you cant succeed so the government will take of you"
It's handy when guys like Ridge get stoned by the Republican base. Keep making the "big tent" smaller. I think it'll qualify as blanket soon
This seems like a good place to put this item: Voinovich slams DeMint and Coburn for GOP downfall; blames 'the southerners' (The Hill)
I was wondering if this should have its own thread, but this is a good thread for it. How is this playing in Foosonia? What does noted Ohio citizen Joe the Plumber think? How does this affect Voinovich's reelection -- wait, he's not running for reelection in 2010? You don't say.
And on that note, I read somewhere that Al Franken is writing a follow up to his book "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" called ... "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Drug Addicted Gay Pedophile"
How about a nice Civil War within the GOP? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dy.../08/04/AR2009080402424.html?hpid=opinionsbox1
if it involves the heavy death-toll most civil wars do, I'm for it And .... all those war injuries would have those people screaming for universal health care
Awesome: My favorite passage. Southern Republicans, it seems, have seceded from sanity. And I hope she's right about her conclusion. What the GOP is experiencing now, one hopes, are the death throes of that 50-year spell that Johnson foretold. But before the party of the Great Emancipator can rise again, Republicans will have to face their inner Voinovich and drive a stake through the heart of old Dixie.
Frum forced out at AEI: http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03/25/frum-forced-out-at-conservative-institute/?hp
Wow. At the same time, Mr. Brooks suggested that it was Mr. Frum’s decision to leave and that he had not been forced out. “We are pleased to have welcomed him as a colleague for seven years, and his decision to leave in no way diminishes our respect for him,” he said in the statement. An aide said Mr. Brooks was not available for further comment. Yeah. He decided to leave when he was asked if he would mind continuing as a non-salaried fellow. If this shakes out the way it sounds, that would be a sad day. It would cost the AEI some serious intellectual credibility if they cut Frum.
It seems to me that a 'think tank' would diminish its credibility when it kicks out people because they put forth independent ideas. I haven't seen that from the AEI before. I wonder if this has happened before, or if this could be some new direction they're heading?
And here's the thing. Frum wasn't making a POLICY critique. He was critiquing legislative tactics. After the GOPs lost the vote! That's some hardcore groupthink.
