Lol, one goalie was Rookie of the Year, the other is Player of the Year. Can't wait to see who was Right Back Player of the Year, and Holding Midfielder Of the Year.
And yet Tarbell was trotted out game after game for the Quakes in 2018. Never saw Bersano once, and Marcinkowski was sacrificed against the league's best offense (and corrupt VAR officials) in his debut.
Same as Don G. Why the hell did we not put in Bersano? Reno wouldn't have prevented us from doing so, because JT is with them. I'm just livid thinking about it....whatever....moving on
Mendiola was a top prospect for the Galaxy just a few years ago... nice move by Reno. One of the VERY few times we'll post @lvlightsfc highlights....Check out some goals from our new signing Raúl Mendiola! 🤩#AllForOurCity pic.twitter.com/c9Aqk4AOV6— SK Holdings (@SKholdings_) December 10, 2018
Reno Signs Rivals' Top Scorer Raúl Mendiola Reno lost Antoine Hoppenot (5 goals 13 assists in 2018) to Tampa Bay and signed Raul Mendiola (10 goals 4 assists in 2018) from Las Vegas... We already know Hoppenot is not MLS caliber and Mendiola was once a top MLS prospect, plus Mendiola is 24 whereas Hoppenot is 28, so this could be good for the Quakes. If Mendiola keeps it up I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the Quakes roster in 2020 or even later in 2019. This is another smart move along the lines of the Eric Calvillo signing from this time last year.
Magnus just has a high salary. As opposed to the high standard Magnus set, I prefer the Magnum Bar.... https://www.google.com/shopping/pro...bG1E3GoOLSX7O0idFwqwSaZAA,prmr:2,cs:1#sgro=om
2019 conference alignment is out. There will be 2. https://www.uslchampionship.com/news_article/show/977011 34 game season all home and away series. Schedule to come sometime later.
So this means the west coast teams will only face each other home and away and not meet east coast teams until the playoffs?
It will definitely cut down costs and travel. I've always thought a regional setup is better. I mean that is what AAA baseball and college teams do.
The cost won't change much for most of the western teams as only two teams moved to the east and very few made trips to eastern teams. If there are enough teams next year to go 3 conferences then there will be some nice cost savings. For us not having to go to OK and TX except for El Paso would be nice.
That should make him more likely to be hired away from the Quakes. UGH! Good for him and it would be well deserved.
I hope that Ian is willing to bide his time, until Matias bails on us. I think it vanishinly unlikely that Matias stays with us beyond 2020. But yeah, Ian Russell to be head coach somewhere? Definitely. Just not sure how soon. Go Quakes!! Go Reno!! Stay Ian!! - Mark
I am hopping its 2020 or 21 with the Quakes since I agree with Mark, Matias bails on us at the end of the 19 or 20 season.
Well Benjamin Galindo Jr obviously signed with Reno as expected, and not on loan... The guy to keep an eye out for though is Raul Mendiola, just a couple years ago he was a top prospect, and already showed why with his opening goal vs the Quakes We can't stop watching...👀#AllForOurCity pic.twitter.com/ifgL5RN8C6— SK Holdings (@SKholdings_) February 11, 2019 Raul Mendiola flourishes after Lights FC offers second chance Musovsky is another one to watch, he's killing it so far this preseason: FULLTIME Goals by @dmusovski in the 4th, 27th, 51st, and 57th minutes help us defeat @RealMonarchs 4-0!Well done lads 👏#WasatchWinterCup | #AllForOurCity pic.twitter.com/QYY1fn0SdW— SK Holdings (@SKholdings_) February 15, 2019 This guy Hertzog was decent a few years ago but not sure he'll ever be in consideration for the Quakes With 44 regular-season goals in his USL Championship career, @Hertzog_Corey is ready to make an impact at @Reno1868FC!https://t.co/TFMPSwhQG9— USL Championship (@USLChampionship) February 13, 2019 I was hoping Wehan would end up back in Reno but he's going back to New Mexico.... wait why do they have cooler looking player announcement graphics than us? Mediola looked very good when he played for Vegas against us but just seems better now that he is with us. Danny had a leg injury last season and never recovered enough to get back into the line up. It looks as though he is making up for lost time and maybe has lost some of his hell bent on destruction form. I hope Hertzog at least regains some of his previous years' form. We, too, were disappoint when we found out Beezer signed with his college town's club. Yeah that is a very cool intro.
@2in10, I really appreciate your keeping us up to date on goings on in Reno. It's great to have someone who has eyes on the team give us his impression. Thanks a ton! And I really do hope that Musovski turns good, either for Reno or the Quakes!! Go Reno!! Go Ian!! - Mark
