Update on some summer moves thus far...

    OUT:
    Krajcik (Contract terminated)
    Corradi (Udinese)
    Campagnolo (Catania)
Cirillo (PAOK... back in Greece where he once tricked people into thinking he is good)

    Rumors:
-Stuani maybe going to 2nd division in Spain? Real Soceidad? It's a shame cause i like him and wanted to see him next season
-Barreto will be gone for sure, looking like Fiorentina
-Carmona has been rumored all over the place, I read Germany but who knows
-Vigiani should be gone. I can't believe Serie A teams would be interested but apparently Chievo wants him
    - Brienza's agent said there is a 50% chance that he will still be with Reggina next year. I know that Walter Novellino, should be become the coach, wants Brienza

Haven't heard anything as far as signings go...... stay tuned!

Walter Novellino is now officially the head coach, with rumors that one of his protoges, Sergio Volpi, will come along to Reggio

In other transfer news.. Carlos Valdez could be sold with Atalanta being a potential suitor

your judgment is obviously clouded no OFFENSE

reggina and novellino are going to be a force in serie B
a year or two in serie B is exactly what was needed to revitalize this team
a new institution is taking over with a focus on building a strong bond between the team and the city
we are going to get some quality players in here next year while still depending on our solid youth system (camilleri, adejo, viola, etc)
this should be a good year and we will be back in A soon enough and people are going to be excited about this team once again

this is what i've always said and i hope that it becomes the truth.

a couple seasons in serie b may be the best thing for Reggina Calcio....

    agreed.
transfer news - valdez will likely be gone with 3 or 4 serie a teams showing interest. he is a good player so i'm not surprised. novellino thinks that lanzaro and santos can be important players for us next season.... we'll see about that

    Some transfer news:

We have signed Simone Rizzato from Ancona Calcio.
He is a 27 years old left footed defender and played last year 43 Serie B matches for Ancona and scored one goal. He played the whole 90 minutes at every game. The goal he scored was one of the most important for his team, because he scored on the last matchday int he 90th minute, to win the game for Ancona 4-3 and managed with this goal to awoid relagation and take them to the playouts. (They have won the playout against Rimini) His contract is expired at Ancona, so he was for free.

that was inevitable.. his contract was up, he is on his last legs, and was not in any plans of novellino

i dont like what i see from this rizzato character... he looks like a little whimp. and he might play left outside midfield instead of hallfredsson. WE NEED TO HOLD ON TO HALLFREDSSON. he will be a force in serie b

rumors have surfaced about a possible swap with cagliari... hallfredsson for parola

wtf. youre going to trade away young talent for some old bald talentless dude who plays the exact same position?

speaking of old... sergio volpis move to reggina was made official today. WOOHOO MARK US DOWN FOR GUARENTEED PROMOTION NOW. i would rather have re-signed cozza, but i guess there is some chemistry between volpi & novellino as part of some mentor-protoge relationship from their years at sampdoria. his leadership will be welcome... probably wearing the captains arm band this year

i hope we bring in a good striker. hoping for bonazzoli. mastrununzio is decent serie b talent but i'd rather have bonazzoli

    Some news:

We have made our fourth signing of the summer: Biagio Pagano. Pagano is a 26-year-old midfielder who grew up in the Atalanta youth ranks, but has played for Rimini the past few seasons. He is primarily a right outside midfielder.

Meanwhile we have loaned out Alvarez for 1 year to Wisla Krakow..
They have the option to buy the player after the 1 year loan.

What do you think would be the perfect starting 11?

    For me yet: 4-4-2

Puggioni - Costa, Santos, Valdez, Lanzaro - Halfredsson, Cascione, Volpi, Carmona - Bonazzoli, Brienza

    FORZA REGGIO!

We have signed Antonio Buscé from Empoli Calcio. The 33 year old right midfielder is an experienced player, has played more than 100 games in Serie A.

    FORZA REGGIO!

ooh right. i heard about him, i knew he was swedish with a middle eastern sounding name.. didnt know iraqi

although that article is pretty flawed. i dont even think they have signed him yet, maybe in january. that article said he is ready to make his reggina debut. i dont think so

I'm surprised reggina is struggly so badly. so far only 9 pts in the first 8 matches, closer to serie C than serie A.

With their 2-0 loss to Torino, they stand in the relegation playoff spots. This is very sad, indeed.

A 4-0 win against 10-man Brescia. How about Lanzaro scoring the last goal? LMAO

With the 0-0 draw at Brescia, Reggina are undefeated in their last five, and five points above the relegation playoff places. Hope they don't become complacent...
