I agree, and maybe it was just me, but he also didn't seem that fast to me. A little on the quick side, but lacked serious pace. Not sure on the price.
He should have joined an European team after the World Cup in 2011... That goal against France was class.... Too bad he never lived up to expectations...

That Chivas voted for Televisa and against the best interest of Grupo Pachuca is not a conspiracy it is fact. That the relationship with GP can be tarnished is not far fetched it is very possible despite what Jesus Martinez might have said. Since the vote Chivas have lost two GP players in Cota and Gallito. The asking price for Cota was a big middle finger to Chivas. As for Gallito I do believe that the club still owed GP money and sold him to clear debts. Why do I believe Chivas was forced to sell Gallito. Well, simply because coming out of a disastrous season the last thing you want to do is get rid of one of your most experienced, world cup caliber, championship winning, players. Specially going into a season where the team will play CCC and chances of landing a top transfer are slim to none. Just recently JLH was asked on Twitter about signing the following players: César Montes, Elías Hernández, Erick Gutiérrez, Néstor Araujo and Víctor Guzmán. JLH's response: 'They are non transferable." A player like Gallito, who can potentially still make the WC squad, should have also been non transferable. I'm not drinking the cool aid that the squad is looking to renovate.
