I always thought the Nike jerseys from our less successful years (2005-2010) looked good. Simple, with nice little details and good colour combinations of shirt/shorts and socks.

We should stop being so focused on the Dutch.
    It's all a bit Calimero.
It made sense when they were a lot better than us, but not any more.

Is this about what Kompany said in the video fragment preceding that chart? ... there's not much wrong with it ... on a more serious note, he added that quality rises to the top (he said that just after his comment about Holland but it was cut from the video fragment). Holland will get back on their feet ... we might even motivate them ... and I view the displays of confidence from Kompany, De Bruyne and others as a very positive sign ... something that had been missing too often in previous squads.

PS our brotherly rivalry with Holland is fun and I'd like to keep enjoying it ... there's a lot of love for the Dutchies too (especially among our guys that played in the Eredivisie).

Remember 2002... Belgium was the most liked and supported country among the 'Hollanders', and the pundits despised Brazil when they knocked them out unfairly.

You be the judge ... this is what Camps calls "hondsdolle aversie voor Nederland" ... around 1'30" Kompany adds: "Om even serieus ..." (the part that was cut).

"Zoals Vincent Kompany na de laatste kwalificatiewedstrijd vijandig naar de Nederlanders hallucineerde als een gedopeerde conferencier heb ik het in Nederland niet meegemaakt."

PS tell Gijp to get more creative with his insults.
PPS if you have ever visited e.g. Antwerp when Holland was playing ... you will have felt that we have lots of love for our neighbours to the North.

Gijp is an idiot. He received a lot of criticism for that as well as calling out a referee named Higler for Hitler.

At the same time he's a fanboy of "German power, thrust and physicality". Sigh.

Hazard of all people misses his penalty in the league cup against Stoke, after the first 9 went in. Didn't do his trademark penalty either, simple hard shot without looking.

It's a shame that Musonda can't get a game ... again he received plaudits ... this time from Tielemans in "Extra Time" ... with Chelsea out of the League Cup maybe they'll decide to loan him out.

Saw the last 20ish minutes of Belgium - Mexico U17, was fun too watch. Too bad for Faes, and all those yellow cards the refs were throwing at them in the last minutes. Was really thrilled to see the last goal of Vanzeir, great composure, good efficiency.

Hi guys. I reckon that Belgium NT is a giant in Europe already. They've gone from 71st to 1st in FIFA ranking for 8 years. I am trying to know how they could do that. I read this article http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27827569 and found some interesting reasons, like Michel Sablon, their youth development system,... However, I wanna know much more specifics, like what Mr. Sablon or Belgium Football Association did specifically through the last decade, perhaps in a multi-page plan. Do you guys have something (links, books,...) to share?
For example, Japanese football has an 100-year plan vision (http://thesefootballtimes.co/2015/05/15/japan-and-the-100-year-vision/), you can see more in Japanese news. I guess, Belgium football also has a 10-year plan or slt.

L'art nouveau du football belge ... it's well worth a read ... the article reveals some of our "secrets", e.g. the Belgian vision (that our managers will have to adhere to and that reportedly started a culture shift in 2000).

You could also have a look at: http://www.slideshare.net/MaxRogers2/the-belgium-vision-on-youth-development?related=1

I hate it. The black patch at the top is just so stupid. Why can't we have a plain red shirt?
This is what we had to wait over 18 months for?

Seems Alper Ademoglu is the next Adnan Januzaj. Alper is eligible for 5 countries: Belgium, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia.

In the interview he says that in principle he's eligible for Belgium, Turkey and Montenegro (correcting the interviewer and telling him that it's actually Montenegro instead of Serbia) ... he really wants to play for Belgium though ... if he doesn't join us I'm guessing it will be between Turkey and Montenegro.

Qatar 2022 prediction ... Belgium will bring back the insanely attacking 3-2-2-3 (with the magic box):

    Courtois
    Denayer---Alderweireld---Faes
    Tielemans---Dante Rigo
    Musonda Jr.---Januzaj
    Bakkali---Batshuayi---Carrasco

The likes of Hazard, De Bruyne, Witsel, et al. will be in their early 30s but probably will still be in the squad ... maybe the likes of Imbula, A.Pereira, Edmilson Jr., et al. too if they join us.
    +/-
Sels, Casteels, Craninx and Svilar (GKs) Vanheusden, Bossaerts, Engels, Matthys, De Medina, Dendoncker, Bounida/Tomaselli (always bring a promising talent for experience), Ademoglu, Antonucci, Azzaoui, Bongonda, Verlinden, Schoofs, Praet, Lestienne, Dante Vanzeir, Leya Iseka, Oulare, Origi, Lukaku, et al.

I wasn't exactly frothing at the mouth when looking at our current and prospective (natural) FBs ... although I'm praying for a few of them to come good, it was simply easier to go with 3 at the back (without wingbacks) ... still I wouldn't mind if the next manager opted for something like 3-1-3-3.
