https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_CONCACAF_Champions_League says the draw for the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16 will be on Monday. The Red Bulls are in the top pot and can face Saprissa of Costa Rica, Herediano of Costa Rica, Motagua of Honduras, Tauro of Panama, Santa Tecla of El Salvador, Cibao of Dominican Republic, or Olimpia of Honduras. The Round of 16 is on the midweeks February 20 to 22 and February 27 to March 1.

Can you sticky this topic and unsticky the 2017 regular seasons and postseason topics?

We will start against Olimpia of Honduras and then face Tijuana of Mexico or Motagua of Honduras. The Red Bulls will host the second leg in the Round of 16 and the Quarterfinals if they reach that. Performance in earlier rounds determines who hosts what leg of the Semifinals and Final. Olimpia won the CONCACAF League including shutting out Alajuelense twice and scoring 7 goals in a game against Plaza Amador. Tijuana just finished eleventh out of eighteen in the Apertura, so they could be worse than most Liga MX clubs in the CCL. Seattle vs. Santa Tecla of El Salvador and Chivas Guadalajara of Mexico vs. Cibao of Dominican Republic are the rest of our half of the bracket.

in Costa Rica, NYRB will embark on their Champions league odyssey with Thursday's opener (10 pm ET | UDN, go90.com) against ex-Dynamo striker Carlo Costly and Olimpia. The match was moved from Honduras due to simmering tensions in the country, and will be played behind closed doors due to a stadium ban

Probably a good result, although Red Bull record in 2nd leg when a win or possible draw at home is enough has not been too convincing. Looking forward to going to this match next week!

Here are the probabilities based on the Intertops odds:

    Red Bulls win: 67.6%
    Draw: 20.3%
    Olimpia win: 12.2%

It adds up to 100.1% due to rounding.

You can watch at https://www.go90.com/videos/2og2hz5gctZ and the game will be in Spanish on Univision Deportes.

The Red Bulls are starting Adams, Collin, Davis, Lawrence, Long, Murillo, Muyl, Robles, Royer, Rzatkowski, and Wright-Phillips. The bench has Meara, Escobar, Lade, Kaku, Valot, Rivas, and Etienne Jr. Both lineups are at:

https://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2018-03-01-new-york-red-bulls-vs-olimpia/recap is titled "New York Red Bulls 2, CD Olimpia 0 | CCL Round of 16 Recap." The goals were scored by Wright-Phillips in the 54th minute and Davis in the 64th minute. The aggregate was 3-1.

Next week the Red Bulls will play at Estadio Caliente in Tijuana. Before that, the MLS regular season starts, with the Red Bulls having off. The Red Bulls are the only MLS club who will host a Quarterfinal second leg.

The Bulls won going away last night. Kaku looked great. Muyl needs to get his shooting boots on. This team still gives away too many chances in on goal. Collin apparently has no peripheral vision. Robles once again stood on his head to keep the other team off the scoreboard.

It was a fun game and a great crowd at the Arena, but you have to wonder how much better Olimpia would have played with their missing starters. Credit goes to all those Hondurans who turned out last night, they almost made it a home game for their club.

Finally a 2nd leg I really enjoyed! I like the play of Rzatkowski -- calm, really good touch, ball stays at his feet and good energy. Lucked out a few times as Olimpia should have had a goal or two, but RB should have had more than two also...

Odds from two sources are much closer than I expected. The average of the two odds gives these probabilities:

    Tijuana win: 55.1%
    Draw: 27.2%
    Red Bulls win: 17.8%

It adds up to 100.1% due to rounding.

    Saw from 25'-70'

    Robles was fantastic
Valot didn't embarrass. That may sound negative but for a USL guy I didn't expect to hang with the team after preseason to be the primary emergency sub in Mexico, that says a lot. A bit surprised he went in before Etienne.

Definitely still shaking off the rust and getting the legs in shape.
Davis & Muyl had yellows - do they both miss next game or just Davis ?

Should be interesting to see what gets changed this week.
Opener on Saturday and return CCL on Tuesday means there are minutes to go around.

If Etienne is going to get early opportunities for a spot start or two and 15-30 min sub appearances, then he should get in a good rhythm to be a go-to guy later in the season. With squad rotation and injuries he'll get tons of minutes if he stays focused. He's a better attacking winger than Muyl, but needs to put in the work on both ends.

Muyl was sort of involved in both goals but was awful all night. I’m not a Muyl hater at all but this is honestly the worst shift I’ve ever seen him put in. The simplest touches and passes escaped him all night. He even let the ball inexplicably run out of bounds on one play. He’s off to a poor start this year and Etienne is off to a good one so he may steal his minutes. Just really poor from Muyl who needed to play simple and smart with the ball to help relieve some pressure.
