I wonder if that's also our Scott Thomsen too. Didn't see him land somewhere this year.

Shaun Oliver, Vice President of Operations at Red Bull Arena and for the Red Bulls, detailed the work that he meticulously oversaw to develop Montclair State University’s ‘Soccer Park’ into a venue fitting for professional soccer. The facility, which houses the nationally ranked Red Hawks men’s and women’s soccer programs, will feature bleacher seating as well as a brand new press box.

Phase 1 of the construction is completely done. There are still some minor tweaks, such as adding a camera tower on the opposite side of the field to meet USL standards, but the overall major lifting is completed and on time.
Still to come is Phase 2, which will include locker room facilities for both the Red Bulls and the visiting squad as well as an additional 1,500 seats that will round the turf adjacent to the current sideline seating. The capacity will then reach the 5,000 seat level necessary for second division professional soccer.
The hope is that this will be completed by May.

Did anybody go to this game? I'd love to hear thoughts. Watching the highlights one thing that jumped out to me is Hassan Ndam's size. Guy is a mountain.

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Red Bulls II opened their new home venue at Montclair State University with a 1-0 victory over the Richmond Strikers Satruday.

Red Bulls first-round draft choice Zeiko Lewis made his NYRB II debut and asserted himself on the pitch scoring the game-winner in the 69th minute off an attempted bicycle kick from Hasan Ndam that deflected to the feet of Lewis as he tapped it in easily.

Red Bulls II dominated the match in nearly every category with a 58-42 ball-possession advantage as well as holding a 16-5 shot margin.

It was a good game on a chilly day. RB II were frustrated in the first half but got a timely goal in the 2nd and then defended desperately to close out the game. This sans Allen team lacks a viable striker. They have tons of wingers, though. Ben Mines came on for Junior Flemings and played brightly. He's got speed and skill, wreaking havoc down the right wing. Definitely one for the future, but given the glut of wingers in the pro ranks of this club, he'll really have to stand out to make it up in the next couple of years.
