Bleachers have worked pretty well for men's games in the past.

So it appears AO and Sammers never got a presale. Some of the tickets left for the corner are astronomical, due to the platinum pricing.

    I'm a bit surprised it'll sell out

Edit...they did get a sale. I just missed it, as I did the others. I never got anything from the CFO about a presale for Crew ticket holders. The only one I saw was a code on Facebook and email to USSF mailing list members. The AO sale it's still going on. $38 for members and $43 for non-members in section 139. Apparently they have the whole section reserved.

Still, meh. Platinum tickets can DIAF for all I care.

    Original post updated.

Still, let me direct a big yawn towards AO. They don't get involved in club matters until it's to steal local tifo for their own recognition.

The South Bleacher seats are on sale now from ticketmaster.

Not exactly bad seats, they'll get you down close to the action.

Anyone heard if they're going to do a public practice a day or two before the game (here in Columbus)?

there is a soccer game tonight

supposedly will be dry by gametime

there are still reasonably priced tickets available on ticketmaster, despite the fact that the game sold out when it went on sale (so I guess congrats to US Soccer for placing greed over butts in seats, and now because of that they may be stuck with leftovers) (though to be fair, there aren't exactly a ton of seats available)

Yeah, that whole $150+ ticket glorified scalping didn't help any. If the USWNT (aka USSF) is scalping their own tickets, shouldn't it make sense that the USWNT see that money?

    But I digress.

Allegedly, the tailgate started at 2, but I have absolutely zero idea who runs the AO Columbus Facebook page. Someone also started a Facebook event for a night before party, which leads me to believe that the AO Columbus stuff isn't actually run local. (Fourth Street did have their AO banner out last night, but it looked like the typical OSU student crowd as I drove by.)

So, I suspect I can figure this out for myself, but -

Did the USWNT get invited to the White House and not go? Or didn't get invited?

I would like to know if this particular team of young ladies (individuals made themselves clear) put their personal politics above a legacy that is larger than themselves.

I swear to God that I would rather eat a big plate full of home fried cats assholes than watch a bunch of women who can't beat a decent U16 boys team play soccer.

To be fair, it's actually just like mens soccer, except much much slower and far less skilled or interesting. They should totally make as much money as the men do.

Wife turned on the game because there was literally nothing else on after Bob's Burgers. Shortly after, Sweden's 23 did her impersonation of a really shitty traffic cone twice in succession and my wife walked off in disgust at the complete lack of mention of the terribleness that, if made just a tiny bit less terrible, would have not resulted in goals.

My dead grandmother could skin 23 for a hat trick. Naive and pathetic.

Was your dead grandmother on the pitch? I saw 23 schooled 4 times with 2 resulting in goals. She was particularly bad on the 2-0 and got caught napping on the 3-0.
