    Other signing news,

    Diego Cervero

Tallismanic striker Diego Cervero re-signs for Oviedo filling a potentially huge hole with the exits out of the door this summer of attacking players.

    :)

Pacheta (striker) our January signing leaves the club, along with Lucas Iglesias (defender). Both good players but I think(/hope) the players coming in will be better quality. Alot of deadwood cleared and good experianced players joining a healthy looking squad.

    Hi Guys
Fariña was great for CD Toledo last year, we were champions of our group in Third division but unfortunately we didnt get promoted to segunda B due to a bad result against Sangonera.
Anyway, good luck and we hope to see Oviedu :) back where they belong.

    Copa Del Rey

Real Oviedo will enter the Copa Del Rey for the first time in a few years this season. First oponents in a preliminary round will be Pontevedra CF(2ªB), about the toughest opponents that they could have got at this stage of the Cup, as their record below shows.

Match to be played on 27th August.

Pontevedra CF League record last 5 years.

    2006/2007: Segunda División B 1st - Promoted
    2004/2005: Segunda División ..22nd - Relegated
    2005/2006: Segunda División B 2nd
    2006/2007: Segunda División B 1st
    2007/2008: Segunda División B 2nd - Play-Off - Not Promoted

    -----------............................

Winners of this match would play the winners of Ponferradina (2ªB) v Racing de Ferrol (2ªB) for a place in first round proper of the Copa Del Rey (The Kings Cup).

    New Shirt (2008-10) by Nike

Modelled by Diego Cervero, Aulestia, Dani Hedrera, and Curro.

Not sure about shirt looks a little plain, prefer last seasons classic.

On first look i thought shirt was pretty bad, after seeing it a few times i absolutely hate it. Hardly a great feat of design from Nike. :(
