I'm dying to see Rodrygo play more, but I think this is the wrong game to start him. A coach trying to save his job, a team with its season in taters.

What is the alternative? In 4-3-3 it is either Vin or Jović. Or maybe Zidane surprises with James wide, or even Isco.

I venture Zidane is going to revert to a super conservative approach similar to after the PSG debacle. I think he'll go with a 4-5-1 with a midfield of Hazard-Kroos-Casemiro-Valverde-James and Benzema up front.

That is not a conservative approach at all if James plays as a 10.
From what we’ve seen so far the Benzema/Jovic pairing is not doing to well on the pitch.

Zidane will use the players he trust.
The midfield will be casemiro, kros and isco

Looks like 30% of 24k votes agree with me about starting Rodrygo with Benz and Hazard. It would be our best attack.

Could also be the best time. Something new with the determination to impress.

Rodrygo is our most skilled attacker. He could take that Gala defence.

This would be our best lineup

Kroos straight from injury into starting lineup? Should have been Mendy and James starting imo. I'm glad that Isco isn't playing though.

Great line up, would have been even better if Courtois was replaced by Areola though.

So Zidane has more faith of the youngster Rodrygo who barely plays .. than James .
    Hopefully Rodrygo delivers ..nothing changes..

I am also surprised to not see Mendy.. everyone was thinking he would get the start today.

Huge nod to Rodrygo but I hate that its in this type of game.

So I'm going to now assume Marcelo > Mendy in big games this season. I'm pretty sure Mendy healed from his injury around the same time Marcelo did.

Time for Rodrygo to knock it out of the ballpark today and get in-front of Vinicious in the pecking order..

I would have started Mendy instead of Marcelo.

its a huge "yellow card" to Vinnie from Zidane.
also a big fu to James.
as for Marcelo, it was always going to be that way. as long as Marcelo is fit he will play most games, especially important games.

Glad for Rodrygo, but worried about Marcelo. Also, James being dropped, eh.

Anyway, hopeful for the best. Get 3 points and that is it.

Rodrygo looks like a good fit on the right in 4-3-3 than Vinicius. Hope he delivers.

James is so naive thinking he can make it under Zidane. He stayed behind to train and got subbed as soon as Kroos returned.

Really needs to hand in his transfer request for this winter.
