This looks scary superficially, but Valencia is having their worst season in the last 20 years I followed La Liga, if they continue to be 12th, they'll probably be lower looking at their remaining games.

They've played 87 games at SB and lost ~75% of them (64 games). We went on to win straight 12 games at the end of La Liga last season including these losers at SB.
Furthermore, they're missing 2 of their starters today. We must win, comfortably, and make early subs to rest key players for the real pain in the @$$ on Tuesday.

I agree on the second point, I think midget et al. will destroy Espanyol, but I'll support them nonetheless, if only for the nostalgia of Capello's crazy second season!

I hate Valencia and I hope we burry them. It would be a shame to lose our lead against Valencia

No Cancelo for them is a good thing, he's a massive player from that RB spot of theirs.

3 points, this will go a long way in helping us bring home that title.

This is one of the few games where we could potentially use our "get of out jail free ( 1 draw & still win the title )" cards so 3 points allows us to use that elsewhere.

Play with energy & hunger, no excuses.

The home games are must win games. I would much rather have the safety net of 1 draw going into those final 2 away games. Valencia have been garbage throughout the season and they're playing for pretty much nothing. We're gunning for our first Liga in 5 years so I'm expecting a big performance. Previous results count for nothing.

Pretty much the same same scenario when we last played them. Valencia for some reason will decide to turn up in this game as beating Madrid and essentially ending our title hopes will be there biggest achievement this season.

We were chasing Atléti and Barça in those 2 seasons. If we fail to beat this Valencia at home today then I will be even more furious than I was last Sunday.

Even Valencia dislike him. He always turns up against Real Madrid because obviously he has to, but this summer his attitude was pretty horrible.

Friendly reminder that in the away match, Zaza should have been red carded. The team got butchered in Valencia and the officials were busy chasing pokemons.

Must win. Every game from here on out is a final. We cannot afford to drop points. Period.

Fcking Diego Alves. Ugh. I wish he gets into a fight with his manager just before the game and gets dropped from the XI.

    4. Ramos
    6. Nacho
    7. Cristiano Ronaldo
    8. Kroos
    9. Benzema
    10. James
    12. Marcelo

So no Isco and Asensio... Damn Zizou. Wont even complain about Benzema, because we all knew he will start (sadly).

Maybe that means they'll play against Atleti...?

Must win game, glad James is starting.

Neither played a single min against Barca. What makes you think they'll start against Atleti. At this point the only way they get into the line up is if players get injured

    Two things
Isco is being rested for CL

They want to showcase James to raise his transfer value.

Not a fan of the lineup. Still, should be "good enough" to get the 3 today.

It must be bad to be in Isco's shoes, he must be thinking what more to do?!

He already performed Zidansque/Maradona type of performances for a month

    Risk from injury?
But yes, I would have preferred to start seeing him instead of Kroos/Modric in more matches .

Agreed on both. Although I hope the latter doesn't turn out to be true.
I think Isco will be subbed in for Modric in the second half, if things go well. Isco will almost certainly start against Atletico!
